It is that time again, time for the upcoming season of drama series to be announced.
One of the newly announced dramas, Resident ~5-nin no Kenshui, which will star Japanese actress Naka Riisa, will have Masuda Takahisa as a part of the cast as well. It will be a medical drama that focuses on five interns, with Naka's character being the main one.
The drama will air on TBS on Thursday evenings at 9PM starting in October.

I am really happy for Massu for this, because not only is it a drama role but one in the golden time slot (7PM-10PM) so it is a drama that should do well with ratings. And with the members that were mostly known for their drama roles gone from NEWS it is good to see those who are still with the group getting roles and perhaps getting set up to be the new faces of the group when it comes to acting roles. Plus it is more Massu, which is never a bad thing.
I also hold the hope that NEWS will do the theme song for the drama and we can get a second single from the group before the year is out then.
It also reminds me that I need to see about catching up with some of the dramas I am watching before thinking about moving on to try out new ones.
