What this will mean for Never Ending Music Power is that as a stand alone blog it is ending.<br />
<br />
Saying good-bye to the this blog is not easy. I honestly want to cry as I hate the idea of ending it. But I need to be realistic and there is no way for me to continue on in a way I will be happy with the outcome. I began this blog at the end of 2007, so to have it last as long as it has is something I feel proud of. And in a way it will continue on as a part of <a href="http://thennarynak.blogspot.com/">Thennary Speaks</a>.<br />
<br />
And honestly I am not as interested in Johnny's as I once was. I still love NEWS and Kis-My-Ft2, enjoy TOKIO and A.B.C-Z, and hope for the day SixTONES debuts, but outside of that my interest has waned. So it just feels like it would be more of a chore to keep this blog running than the fun it is supposed to be.<br />
<br />
I will be moving all the posts here to Thennary Speaks when I have the free time to do so. Once they have been moved I will delete them here. So if you find a post missing that is most likely why.<br />
<br />
Thank you to everyone who visited and commented. It encouraged me to keep going in the past when I thought about stopping before. But with where my life is now I cannot continue on the way I had in the past, which is why this time things are changing in a major way.<br />
<br />

I also still seem to on a string of bad luck as my laptop is messed up so I have to use my notebook in place of it until it is fixed. So reviews don't look like they will be back on track in the near future after all.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fEZHnlpLP4Q/UvbtQF67slI/AAAAAAAAWNQ/8kOoP1qCOcA/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-08-21h51m09s232.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fEZHnlpLP4Q/UvbtQF67slI/AAAAAAAAWNQ/8kOoP1qCOcA/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-08-21h51m09s232.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
Things start off with a medley performed by the main Junior groups and groupings. <b>Hip Hop Jump</b> has changed members again as this time there are five of them. Not sure if <b>Jesse </b>is actually out or not as I did not spot him anywhere else so he could have just missed the taping for the month for whatever reason. The coming months should shed light on that.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RzOTSmyiN_g/UvbuC1nfHYI/AAAAAAAAWNY/lFz8miHipnE/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-08-21h54m41s62.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RzOTSmyiN_g/UvbuC1nfHYI/AAAAAAAAWNY/lFz8miHipnE/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-08-21h54m41s62.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The medley ends with the guest of the episode, <b>Tanaka Koki</b>, performing the <b>KAT-TUN</b> song <i>Yorokobi no Uta</i> with Juniors <b>Takada Sho</b>, <b>Masuda Ryo</b> and <b>Kishi Takayoshi</b>. Thankfully the song begins with the three Juniors as <b>Koki </b>quickly overshadows them once he joins in.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mUXlxHccEhI/UvwbqCH11vI/AAAAAAAAWNo/er79B2ohyh8/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-12-19h59m55s210.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mUXlxHccEhI/UvwbqCH11vI/AAAAAAAAWNo/er79B2ohyh8/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-12-19h59m55s210.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
With the first medley done the usual intro talk begins with <b>Koyama Keiichiro</b> and <b>Nakamaru Yuichi</b> joining <b>Koki</b>. <b>Yuto </b>and <b>Takaki </b>join them to introduce the theme of the episode, Oto (sound).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MDlzRSZPD-A/Uvwhc-Z6HsI/AAAAAAAAWN4/3AWo3kaA2T4/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-12-20h27m30s140.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MDlzRSZPD-A/Uvwhc-Z6HsI/AAAAAAAAWN4/3AWo3kaA2T4/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-12-20h27m30s140.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
Instead of a theme medley there is a special collaboration with <b>Koki </b>and the Juniors as <b>Hip Hop Jump</b> perform <i>Top Checker</i> with him. Or basically this is a chance to have <b>Koki </b>with his younger brother, <b>Tanaka Juri,</b> together performing.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_RggnzHG-yY/UvwhczeKu0I/AAAAAAAAWN8/4VG9YdUEeVE/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-12-20h32m50s62.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_RggnzHG-yY/UvwhczeKu0I/AAAAAAAAWN8/4VG9YdUEeVE/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-12-20h32m50s62.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The first MC segment is with <b>Yuto</b>, <b>Takaki </b>and randomly <b>Igo Akun</b>. They all talk about instruments, or in <b>Takaki</b>'s case <b>JUMP Band</b>. But <b>Yuto </b>talks about playing drums and brings up <b>JUMP Band</b> first that leads into <b>Takaki </b>speaking, as he was the vocalist of this grouping. Then <b>Akun </b>of course talks about playing guitar but only talks briefly.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gnQzk05ScFM/Uvwjtc2mm5I/AAAAAAAAWOU/CpuEcrP6GEM/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-12-20h44m51s83.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gnQzk05ScFM/Uvwjtc2mm5I/AAAAAAAAWOU/CpuEcrP6GEM/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-12-20h44m51s83.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
None are in the following performance though as it is instead <b>Snow Prince Gasshoudan</b> performing the song <i>Sekai ga Hitotsu ni Naru Made</i>, which was the B-side song to the past Junior group <b>Ya-Ya-Yah</b>. But it remains a song that is given to the younger Juniors to perform from time to time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AYlTE2J-xOE/Uvwl53VJjyI/AAAAAAAAWOg/YsW0Ef2_U5Y/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-12-20h54m15s121.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AYlTE2J-xOE/Uvwl53VJjyI/AAAAAAAAWOg/YsW0Ef2_U5Y/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-12-20h54m15s121.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The next segment was You no Otegami Yomitai Desu! with members from <b>A.B.C-Z</b> and<b> Kis-My-Ft2</b>. This was a fairly <b>Kisumai </b>heavy segment, which is looking to become the norm from the past couple of episodes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SmLyKTzkvQ8/Uvwo8jY9YOI/AAAAAAAAWOw/pvrzZNd63Dk/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-12-21h07m23s54.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SmLyKTzkvQ8/Uvwo8jY9YOI/AAAAAAAAWOw/pvrzZNd63Dk/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-12-21h07m23s54.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The following performance is by <b>Kisumai </b>and <b>Fujigaya Taisuke</b> produced it for them. The song they performed was <i>Hair </i>and I actually liked how <b>Fujigaya </b>changed things up with the choreography. It did help give it a bit of a fresh feel to it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3FWNrAm2mJ8/Uv2Klj6vrfI/AAAAAAAAWPE/Hlh4HRYys1c/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-13-22h15m57s80.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3FWNrAm2mJ8/Uv2Klj6vrfI/AAAAAAAAWPE/Hlh4HRYys1c/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-13-22h15m57s80.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
It is then time for the game segment and this time around it is a dance quiz. It is mostly the usual suspects for which Juniors participated in this. Like all dance quizzes this is pretty easy to follow. I am rather amused that <b>Hashimoto Ryosuke</b> has a tendency to remember the lyrics to a song but not a name so he has to hope that if he sings it someone on his team can recognize it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6vlwtwmDIes/Uv-pV3mm81I/AAAAAAAAWPU/74afTdf6Ook/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-15-12h51m35s137.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6vlwtwmDIes/Uv-pV3mm81I/AAAAAAAAWPU/74afTdf6Ook/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-15-12h51m35s137.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>A.B.C-Z</b> then are up next to perform. They do a medley of songs which includes <i>Vanilla</i>, <i>STAR SEEKER</i>, and <i>Crush</i>. It starts off with each of those songs getting short dance previews before the group goes on to do a full performance of <i>Vanilla</i>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-K1d3W3gdEWQ/Uv-qk0yNRtI/AAAAAAAAWPc/QeiBpyMRWps/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-15-12h57m27s86.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-K1d3W3gdEWQ/Uv-qk0yNRtI/AAAAAAAAWPc/QeiBpyMRWps/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-15-12h57m27s86.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
After that it is time for the Junior ni Q segment. The topic is memorable songs. After <b>Koyama </b>and <b>Nakamaru </b>quickly go over one that is memorable for them they start to call Juniors over. <b>Kyomoto Taiga</b> is up first and his choice was <i>Seishun Amigo</i>. And when they call him over they notice that <b>Koki </b>is in the practice room where the Juniors are so he gets highlighted for a moment before they move on.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RJi3wF99dxo/Uv-rrf1_xKI/AAAAAAAAWPk/hYi0InqTmNQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-15-13h02m12s108.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RJi3wF99dxo/Uv-rrf1_xKI/AAAAAAAAWPk/hYi0InqTmNQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-15-13h02m12s108.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Yasui Kentaro</b> is called over next and his song was <i>Ultra Music Power</i>. I did not catch why he picked it but his age was brought up and of course the hosts were surprised that he was eighteen. <b>Koyama </b>then brings up that he remembers the outfit that <b>Yasui </b>is wearing from back when he was a Junior and guesses that it might have been one <b>Kato Shigeaki</b> wore.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_X1-CofbKuw/Uv-sk76lQ5I/AAAAAAAAWPs/kR84ZrEqUPU/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-15-13h05m59s80.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_X1-CofbKuw/Uv-sk76lQ5I/AAAAAAAAWPs/kR84ZrEqUPU/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-15-13h05m59s80.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
Considering the guest of the episode it would have been more surprising to not have <b>Juri </b>called over. His answer was the rap from <i>SIGNAL</i>, which of course was written and performed by his brother <b>Koki</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Nv0VvHZx-Gc/Uv-tNv2CDlI/AAAAAAAAWP4/tOHph1FfGlU/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-15-13h07m58s244.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Nv0VvHZx-Gc/Uv-tNv2CDlI/AAAAAAAAWP4/tOHph1FfGlU/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-15-13h07m58s244.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Sanada Yuma</b> is brought over next and his choice was <i>Sekai ga Hitotsu ni Naru Made</i>. The sign language used in the choreography of the song is what left an impression on him as he could see the fans do it during the song as well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vqH09pF8xUc/Uv-t9F5WXJI/AAAAAAAAWQA/d5EEzGehx2w/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-15-13h10m00s184.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vqH09pF8xUc/Uv-t9F5WXJI/AAAAAAAAWQA/d5EEzGehx2w/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-15-13h10m00s184.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The segment is followed by an MC with <b>Koki </b>and the hosts. The talk is mostly centered around the theme of the episode and <b>Koki </b>talks about sounds like that from a guitar and of course is lead to talk about rapping.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qQeo9a3RkkU/Uv-vu6Bg5cI/AAAAAAAAWQM/_f_yRqRk8Ng/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-15-13h19m28s246.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qQeo9a3RkkU/Uv-vu6Bg5cI/AAAAAAAAWQM/_f_yRqRk8Ng/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-15-13h19m28s246.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
He then gets to do another performance this episode but he gets to lead this one and it is a medley that he is joined by <b>Nakamaru</b> with. It starts off with <b>Koki</b> performing a solo song <i>I DON'T MISS U</i>, which was never released on a CD. The second song in the medley was <b>KAT-TUN</b>'s <i>ONE ON ONE</i> that has <b>Nakamaru</b> join him in the performance as they both wrote the lyrics to it. This is on the debut album for the group.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-M463U5DciYk/Uv-wpY6d01I/AAAAAAAAWQU/0DpLdBHV67w/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-15-13h22m48s201.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-M463U5DciYk/Uv-wpY6d01I/AAAAAAAAWQU/0DpLdBHV67w/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-15-13h22m48s201.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
This leads us to the end of the episode with the final song to be performed. The song is <i>THE D-MOTION</i>, which at the time was the latest song from <b>KAT-TUN</b>. So we get <b>Koki</b> and <b>Nakamaru</b> performing again but <b>EbiKisu</b> get to join in singing the song so it was not just Juniors back dancing for it.<br />
<br />
<br />
I was caught off guard with how much seeing <b>Koki</b> in the episode affected me. He was never my favorite member of <b>KAT-TUN</b> but I always had a bit of a soft spot for him. He seems to be doing well enough post-<b>Johnny's</b>, but it is sad to know that we will never be able to see him with <b>Juri</b> or any other <b>Johnny's</b> on a program like this.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-4201846797579454922014-02-07T17:58:00.003-05:002014-02-07T17:58:56.502-05:00NEWS' 10th Anniversary Concert soon to be for your viewing pleasureThere is finally a release date for the <i>NEWS 10th Anniversary Concert in Tokyo Dome</i> video release. <br />
<br />
I am so glad to see that the Blu-Ray version of the release will come out the same time as the DVD this time. I am a complete BD convert, and not just for the better video quality but also because the different region codes. In fact the BD version of this is region free while the DVD is the usual Region 2. Which for an international fan is something to pay attention to.<br />
<br />
But without fail I am going to need to get this. And thankfully since the only difference between the two editions are packaging and booklets I will not have to stress out about trying to get the limited edition. Instead I will have the wait until later in the year when I have the extra money to buy this as with <b>Johnny's WEST</b> set to have their debut single in April and <b>Kis-My-Ft2</b> having a single coming out in March and most likely their third album in April if they keep the usual schedule, early Spring is going to be tight to budget for.<br />
<br />
But it is nice to have something from <b>NEWS </b>to look forward to. I just hope we get another single later in the year at least.</div>

Of course fandom was confused as the group was announced to only consist of <b>Kiriyama Akito</b>, <b>Nakama Junta</b>, <b>Shigeoka Daiki</b> and <b>Kotaki Nozomu</b>. But today things have been cleared up with a new announcement for the group: they will be a seven member unit.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wWPFfxQJwRI/UvL0MV71rbI/AAAAAAAAWNA/9PrFgwS9sJI/s1600/2qwleva.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wWPFfxQJwRI/UvL0MV71rbI/AAAAAAAAWNA/9PrFgwS9sJI/s1600/2qwleva.jpg" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
From an article from <a href="http://www.oricon.co.jp/news/2033728/full/">Oricon Style</a> (Japanese) it has been confirmed that members have been added to <b>Johnny's WEST</b> so now it will consist of, <b>Kiriyama</b>, <b>Nakama</b>, <b>Shigeoka</b>, <b>Kotaki</b>, <b>Kamiyama</b>, <b>Fujii </b>and <b>Hamada</b>. (You can find a translation of it<a href="http://kansai-juniors.livejournal.com/126940.html"> here.</a>) There is also an update on <i>Johnny's Net</i> that confirms the member change.<br />
<br />
What is interesting about it is that it does confirm that <b>Johnny's WEST 4</b> was the original name but it was quickly changed to <b>Johnny's WEST</b> because 4 is an unlucky number in Japan. So that mystery is solved. And of course the best part is that the guys asked for the additional members from the company. I cannot say I am surprised as these seven have done so much together it would seem odd to have them split up. I hope they can prove that adding the other three are well worth it.<br />
<br />
This makes me so happy. I was glad for the original four being able to debut but I would be lying if I did not say the fact that at least <b>Hamada</b>, <b>Kamiyama </b>and <b>Fujii </b>not debuting with them made me also disappointed. Now that is no longer an issue and I am beyond delighted. I am so glad that they asked to have others debut with them and that <b>Johnny Kitagawa</b> let them.<br />
<br />
I honestly do not care how silly this makes me look, but I have come to love these guys so much in the past couple of years and the fact that they get to be together in a debuted group just fills me with so much joy. I cannot wait to have their debut CD in my hands so I can play all the songs to death.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-23495791450464391082014-02-05T21:15:00.000-05:002014-02-05T21:15:40.666-05:00The Shounen Club 14 February 2010 reviewHopefully I should get this back on track in the next couple of weeks. Then I can work on seeing about posting on a more regular basis for other posts.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aJD6FDsi7Pg/Uu2lj46z45I/AAAAAAAAWJg/hJyEaQM-sXQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-01-20h55m07s24.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aJD6FDsi7Pg/Uu2lj46z45I/AAAAAAAAWJg/hJyEaQM-sXQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-01-20h55m07s24.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
Continuing the regular appearances of <b>Hey! Say! JUMP</b> members on the show<b> Arioka Daiki</b> and <b>Yaotome Hikaru</b> start things off by performing the first song of the introduction medley with<b> B.I. Shadow</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ImqEp-1pN1s/Uu2mWTqQK7I/AAAAAAAAWJo/BSyYiL1zS_w/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-01-20h58m35s37.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ImqEp-1pN1s/Uu2mWTqQK7I/AAAAAAAAWJo/BSyYiL1zS_w/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-01-20h58m35s37.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
I am not sure how I missed it in the previous episode by <b>A.B.C-Z</b> is missing a member this month, <b>Tsukada Ryoichi</b>. Not sure why he is missing but I expect him back for the next month's episodes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GQT0IZSf2ZI/Uu2msojrPnI/AAAAAAAAWJw/GSSArIvUoms/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-01-20h59m58s124.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GQT0IZSf2ZI/Uu2msojrPnI/AAAAAAAAWJw/GSSArIvUoms/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-01-20h59m58s124.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The medley ends with the guests of the episode, <b>Hey! Say! 7</b>, showing up to perform the final song. I guess they were an easy to guest to have seeing that <b>Yamada Ryosuke</b> and <b>Chinen Yuri</b> were the guests for the previous episode as <b>NYC boys</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-v_FMHupy8a4/Uu7HF_D050I/AAAAAAAAWKA/93EKiPxzkks/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-02-17h30m26s84.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-v_FMHupy8a4/Uu7HF_D050I/AAAAAAAAWKA/93EKiPxzkks/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-02-17h30m26s84.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>HS7 </b>with <b>Hikaru </b>and <b>Daiki </b>remain on stage for the opening talk and reveal of the theme for the episode. The theme of the episode is Mirai (future).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--ZlPnmLhmLE/Uu7HrOtpaUI/AAAAAAAAWKI/PtLQtUE8rKM/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-02-17h32m28s21.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--ZlPnmLhmLE/Uu7HrOtpaUI/AAAAAAAAWKI/PtLQtUE8rKM/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-02-17h32m28s21.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
There is a medley with mostly the younger Juniors that follow the opening talk. I was most excited to see that <b>Hip Hop Jump</b> actually got to perform a song in the medley on their own. For a group that has been around for as long as they have been one would think they would be at the point they would have their own group song by now, but instead the group continues to be under promoted.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eQd-hEGqabE/Uu7Iu5V8lYI/AAAAAAAAWKU/oLYcbnX6Xs8/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-02-17h37m27s201.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eQd-hEGqabE/Uu7Iu5V8lYI/AAAAAAAAWKU/oLYcbnX6Xs8/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-02-17h37m27s201.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
This episode gives us a Gekkan Koyamaru segment, but with that another <b>Snow Prince Gasshoudan</b> member gets spotlighted as <b>Chino Aoi</b> is brought out for it. <b>Chino </b>left <b>Johnny's </b>about a year ago but before then he got a good deal of promotion for a little Junior. But for the photos in the segment it is <b>Nakamaru Yuichi</b>'s turn and he has a couple with him and <b>Takizawa Hideaki</b> to share.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Dy3ENPHJt3w/Uu8luwfDU7I/AAAAAAAAWKk/3aO9viyHupQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-03-00h13m47s183.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Dy3ENPHJt3w/Uu8luwfDU7I/AAAAAAAAWKk/3aO9viyHupQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-03-00h13m47s183.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
There is an <b>A.B.C-Z</b> performance after this as the four present members of the group perform <i>Inazuma Venus</i>. At this point seeing the group perform without all five members just does not look right anymore. But they pull off their usual standard for the performance plus the fanservice at the end.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5BD4-lLrtPw/UvCDMLPx2iI/AAAAAAAAWK0/LVZ4u0A0nyg/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-01h04m19s14.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5BD4-lLrtPw/UvCDMLPx2iI/AAAAAAAAWK0/LVZ4u0A0nyg/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-01h04m19s14.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Hey! Say! 7</b> then have their MC segment with the hosts. It is nice to see some of the members of the unit get to talk like <b>Okamoto Keito</b>. In fact it is mostly the back three that get to talk for this.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-52hczfev4a0/UvCEHZrlYiI/AAAAAAAAWK8/crlztZsSlY8/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-01h08m54s211.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-52hczfev4a0/UvCEHZrlYiI/AAAAAAAAWK8/crlztZsSlY8/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-01h08m54s211.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The unit does the next performance which is of the <b>Hey! Say! JUMP</b> song <i>Hitomi no Screen</i>. Part way through the song <b>Daiki </b>and <b>Hikaru </b>join them in the performance.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IzBEfT-jwho/UvCEdAfNtoI/AAAAAAAAWLE/D_Pl1G8CKyY/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-01h10m47s70.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IzBEfT-jwho/UvCEdAfNtoI/AAAAAAAAWLE/D_Pl1G8CKyY/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-01h10m47s70.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The game segment is the dance battle, where each contestant does a dance move that must be copied by the next and so on. <b>Chinen </b>is the only non-Junior in the game and he is there because he was the winner of a previous iteration of the game.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pecB8yct1iw/UvGZMgQdwrI/AAAAAAAAWLU/8O4NSSaZi9E/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-20h51m28s119.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pecB8yct1iw/UvGZMgQdwrI/AAAAAAAAWLU/8O4NSSaZi9E/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-20h51m28s119.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
A <b>Question?</b> performance follows this up and it is a medley of songs, starting with the group's song <i>FROZEN SKY</i>. The other song is <i>Naked</i>, which is a collaboration with<b> A.B.C-Z</b>, so they join them to wrap the medley up.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-d_SXOi1sOEo/UvGawRAN6KI/AAAAAAAAWLg/wWp0BH_bu8Q/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-20h58m12s71.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-d_SXOi1sOEo/UvGawRAN6KI/AAAAAAAAWLg/wWp0BH_bu8Q/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-20h58m12s71.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
There is the return of the Junior ni Q segment this episode. The topic is what the Juniors would do for the future to be more eco-friendly. <b>Morimoto Shintaro</b> is up first and he talks about an idea about having his entire family in one room. Of course by bringing up family they talk about his older brother <b>Ryutaro </b>as well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aKAbwrzs4Fw/UvGbdlMLj-I/AAAAAAAAWLo/J_MLurVSfl4/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-21h00m45s70.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aKAbwrzs4Fw/UvGbdlMLj-I/AAAAAAAAWLo/J_MLurVSfl4/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-21h00m45s70.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Kochi Yugo </b>is up next and he talks about the amount of times he uses the bath or the order in which his family members use it, that is if I am understanding things right.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WZj23tEw72o/UvGcExdiQeI/AAAAAAAAWL0/k_V5Z9DAwdY/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-21h03m40s36.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WZj23tEw72o/UvGcExdiQeI/AAAAAAAAWL0/k_V5Z9DAwdY/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-21h03m40s36.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
Then it is<b> Kyomoto Taiga</b> who talks about using tissues, or thinking about how not to waste them when they are used.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-uwqc5E-aHHo/UvGgRobrvrI/AAAAAAAAWMA/K4hBCdi0FA4/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-21h21m48s162.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-uwqc5E-aHHo/UvGgRobrvrI/AAAAAAAAWMA/K4hBCdi0FA4/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-21h21m48s162.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Kawai Fumito</b> is next. He talks about just using an electric blanket to warm himself up with. Not exactly what I would consider a good idea to be eco-friendly.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5d2DfBmSFGA/UvGhmmy_TtI/AAAAAAAAWMM/FPNAgaZvCmQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-21h27m24s202.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5d2DfBmSFGA/UvGhmmy_TtI/AAAAAAAAWMM/FPNAgaZvCmQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-21h27m24s202.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Kurita Kei</b> gets to make his debut for this corner. He talks about separating the trash, which for Japan is a very important everyday chore to do and can sometimes be tricky in figuring out what goes in what category.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7guThqLHR8U/UvGiU1ZtkPI/AAAAAAAAWMU/cQaCSZ5adFc/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-21h30m33s41.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7guThqLHR8U/UvGiU1ZtkPI/AAAAAAAAWMU/cQaCSZ5adFc/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-04-21h30m33s41.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The final Junior talked to is<b> Fujigaya Taisuke</b>. He plans on amassing Eco-Points, which is something I did not quite understand other than it was something he saw on TV.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_KyBo-OO5k0/UvLuREytMWI/AAAAAAAAWMk/pc0A3JUcm6s/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-05-21h06m22s89.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_KyBo-OO5k0/UvLuREytMWI/AAAAAAAAWMk/pc0A3JUcm6s/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-05-21h06m22s89.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Kis-My-Ft2</b> then have an MC corner. They do quick self-introductions that cover their ages and what hobbies/current interests they had at the time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PSl2lUO3yzU/UvLvMQ5QpUI/AAAAAAAAWMs/81IlpQznifg/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-05-21h10m47s194.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PSl2lUO3yzU/UvLvMQ5QpUI/AAAAAAAAWMs/81IlpQznifg/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-05-21h10m47s194.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
Of course the group performs after that. They sing their group song, <i>Good-bye, Thank you</i>. It is a bit strange to see <b>Tamamori Yuta</b> as the center for this song, seeing as he is one of the few members that actually does not have a solo line.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l1AmeSpeL9A/UvLv2zdFb8I/AAAAAAAAWM0/UjjFqRub0RM/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-05-21h13m06s64.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l1AmeSpeL9A/UvLv2zdFb8I/AAAAAAAAWM0/UjjFqRub0RM/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-02-05-21h13m06s64.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
After that it is then time for the final performance of the episode. The song is<i> Hadashi no Mirai</i> and of course this end song is the one for the older Juniors, but the best part of it is that the guys are allowed to have some fun with it so there are plenty of little moments to enjoy throughout.<br />
<br />
<br />
We have reached the point again where we have pretty solid <i>Shounen Club</i> episodes, with both the Juniors and the debuted acts getting a decent amount of screen time. Though <b>Kisumai </b>is getting quite a bit of promotion with how often they are featured in segments and the fact that they seem to be getting a performance for each episode and not one for each month like other groups are.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-30780462950520560642014-01-29T20:04:00.000-05:002014-01-29T20:04:32.200-05:00The Shounen Club 7 February 2010 reviewHopefully things will start to get back more on schedule next month. I pray nothing major happens in the near future, unless it is good of course. But with my new job I get weekends off so that should help with that.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GNsx6-mb__Y/UulC9-j-OLI/AAAAAAAAWGc/3_8m13KcV64/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-13h05m17s186.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GNsx6-mb__Y/UulC9-j-OLI/AAAAAAAAWGc/3_8m13KcV64/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-13h05m17s186.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The episode kicks off with <b>Nakajima Yuto</b> starting a medley that will work as the introduction for the main Junior groups and individual Juniors.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-N7V9f2b-rqc/UulDTxK3WNI/AAAAAAAAWGk/sp92F1Mm7wc/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-13h06m19s50.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-N7V9f2b-rqc/UulDTxK3WNI/AAAAAAAAWGk/sp92F1Mm7wc/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-13h06m19s50.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Morimoto Shintaro </b>is already starting to be separated from the other members of the <b>Snow Prince Gasshoudan </b>group. That group will become one for the young Juniors until it disbands as <b>Shintaro </b>gets to float around a bit until he gets paired up with <b>Hip Hop Jump</b> before the <i>Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou</i> drama gives him a new grouping.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QevpuJgiblw/UulE5y32D6I/AAAAAAAAWGs/0__Wuvr5itQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-13h13m13s77.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QevpuJgiblw/UulE5y32D6I/AAAAAAAAWGs/0__Wuvr5itQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-13h13m13s77.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
Talking of <b>HHJ</b>, it seems for now the group is a trio of <b>Tanaka Juri</b>, <b>Hagiya Keigo</b> and <b>Jesse</b>. Or at least for <i>Shounen Club</i>. The frustrating thing with this group was trying to figure out who was actually in it as who was on <i>SC </i>was not always the same as the magazines.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cMIZs7Omt7I/UulRzfMW-cI/AAAAAAAAWG8/TNz9v1vBjUo/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-14h07m37s214.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cMIZs7Omt7I/UulRzfMW-cI/AAAAAAAAWG8/TNz9v1vBjUo/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-14h07m37s214.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The theme for the episode is Love Song, as Valentine's Day was just around the corner. It is just the regular hosts of the episode, <b>Koyama Keiichiro</b> and <b>Nakamaru Yuichi</b>, with <b>Yuto </b>to introduce the theme instead of them bringing in a Junior to do it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nvTJ_Pw-KBI/UuljENFBxJI/AAAAAAAAWHM/BFbQs1JiddE/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-15h22m08s99.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nvTJ_Pw-KBI/UuljENFBxJI/AAAAAAAAWHM/BFbQs1JiddE/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-15h22m08s99.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>NYC boys</b> are introduced as the guests of the episode and this time there are all three <b>NYC </b>members present. They do a medley of their songs starting off with just <b>NYC </b>performing then <b>B.I. Shadow</b> coming on stage to perform with them.<br />

With the following MC though it is just <b>NYC </b>that participate. They talk about Valentine's Day and <b>Nakayama Yuma</b> brings up something about his older sister. His sister is also an idol (at this time she was with <b>H!P</b> under her real name <b>Nakayama Nana</b>, but would quit to audition for <b>NMB48 </b>under the stage name <b>Yamada Nana</b>) and I would love to see the two do something together someday.<br />
<br />

Following this we get something new. <b>Nakamura Reia</b> is brought over to do an MC segment as well as show off his skateboarding skills. It is nice to see a younger Junior highlighted like this, especially as <b>Reia </b>is still around and even gets some spotlight in the more recent <i>SC </i>episodes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4CBHO3vuJG4/UumN4SM-8jI/AAAAAAAAWH8/Bdzm47XG0R4/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-18h25m05s68.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4CBHO3vuJG4/UumN4SM-8jI/AAAAAAAAWH8/Bdzm47XG0R4/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-18h25m05s68.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Reia </b>gets to introduce the next performance, a<b> Kis-My-Ft2</b> medley. It starts off with <i>Sennen no Love Song</i> then <b>Kitayama Hiromitsu</b> gets a solo song, covering <b>Domoto Koichi</b>'s <i>Deep in your heart</i>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WaBaOGM-mY8/UumOTweztaI/AAAAAAAAWIE/wsdlO7WEtVk/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-18h26m44s17.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WaBaOGM-mY8/UumOTweztaI/AAAAAAAAWIE/wsdlO7WEtVk/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-18h26m44s17.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The final song of he medley is <b>NEWS</b>' <i>Koi no ABO</i> lead by <b>Miyata Toshiya</b> as he plays up his wota-character. Part way through <b>Koyama </b>comes out to "reprimand" him and show's him how the dance is really done. They all finish together for what was a fun performance.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GJ96XOrQ6fs/UumPCKhJVtI/AAAAAAAAWIM/deIX5aL7BYI/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-18h30m05s249.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GJ96XOrQ6fs/UumPCKhJVtI/AAAAAAAAWIM/deIX5aL7BYI/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-18h30m05s249.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
Up next is a You no Otegami Yomitai Desu! segment with members of <b>A.B.C-Z</b> and <b>Kisumai </b>hosting it. It is a fairly <b>Kisumai </b>focused segment though as they are the ones answering the letters as <b>Totsuka Shota </b>and <b>Kawai Fumito</b> act as the MCs.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-16I_1StRHZs/UumacWOBhwI/AAAAAAAAWIc/DPRhtbM9v-0/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-19h18m42s221.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-16I_1StRHZs/UumacWOBhwI/AAAAAAAAWIc/DPRhtbM9v-0/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-19h18m42s221.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Nakamaru </b>then gets to perform in this episode as he does his solo song, <i>WHITE WORLD</i> as well as a solo version of <b>KAT-TUN</b>'s song<i> Love yourself ~Kimi ga Kirai na Kimi ga Suki~</i>. The former has a typo with the lyrics that I am pretty sure was not in the booklet of the album the song is off of.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nSs4jiRf0Us/UumbWMq54II/AAAAAAAAWIk/wIMyJgHWJK4/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-19h22m34s238.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nSs4jiRf0Us/UumbWMq54II/AAAAAAAAWIk/wIMyJgHWJK4/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-19h22m34s238.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Question?</b> gets the o abake segment treatment with this episode. It seemed a bit awkward with the first question with most centering their answer for <b>Goto Hiromi</b> as being the biggest cry baby. I think it was just the fact that he had not been with the group for long so there was not enough of a feeling of ease between him and the rest. But the second topic about wanting to say something to another member was much more enjoyable as the long time members of the group got to kid around with each other.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--zx-KAHHhjA/UumfQtjiTLI/AAAAAAAAWIs/MFbRL_Z5EpU/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-19h38m48s11.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--zx-KAHHhjA/UumfQtjiTLI/AAAAAAAAWIs/MFbRL_Z5EpU/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-19h38m48s11.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The following performance has a mix of Juniors perform <i>Ai no Katamari</i>. <b>Fujigaya Taisuke</b>, <b>Tamamori Yuta</b>, <b>Nakajima Kento</b>, <b>Sanada Yuma</b>, <b>Tottsu</b>, <b>Hashimoto Ryosuke</b> and <b>Ishigaki Daisuke</b> are the Juniors that perform this song while <b>Goto </b>plays the violin for it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OGDeg8Un9og/UumifcBSMNI/AAAAAAAAWI4/wvgjP5M0vic/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-19h51m00s151.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OGDeg8Un9og/UumifcBSMNI/AAAAAAAAWI4/wvgjP5M0vic/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-19h51m00s151.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>B.I. Shadow</b> get the chance to have their own MC segment next. They talk about learning how to tap dance. Being a regular on a variety program looks to have really helped <b>Yugo Kochi</b> as he speaks quite a bit during it and finally looks comfortable on stage.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nyGEhX6X-3U/Uumi0VR4hoI/AAAAAAAAWJA/B0hs5HEoBok/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-19h54m21s118.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nyGEhX6X-3U/Uumi0VR4hoI/AAAAAAAAWJA/B0hs5HEoBok/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-19h54m21s118.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
This talk leads into the VTR of the episode, which is another learning segment. We get to see <b>B.I. Shadow</b> as they learn about tap dancing. They are told some of the history of the dance form before they move on to learning how to do it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5UXI-Pzjwvk/UumjtiO9V1I/AAAAAAAAWJI/c9nJHPAblGU/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-19h57m54s177.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5UXI-Pzjwvk/UumjtiO9V1I/AAAAAAAAWJI/c9nJHPAblGU/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-19h57m54s177.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The group then gets to show off what they learned and are joined by <b>Yuto</b>, who does tap from time to time in his live performances. They sing the song <i>You & You</i>, which I am not sure where it comes from and there is no mention of it being a song from another <b>Johnny's</b> artist.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-q_uEYDUKsfk/Uumkk82FDRI/AAAAAAAAWJQ/m7DuNmsvRhE/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-20h01m28s29.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-q_uEYDUKsfk/Uumkk82FDRI/AAAAAAAAWJQ/m7DuNmsvRhE/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-29-20h01m28s29.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
This then takes us to the final song of the episode. The old ending song, <i>Love Letter</i>, is performed with the main Juniors, both older and younger. The stage is definitely getting crowded with how many Juniors it has to fit when they do this. It is nice to hear this song being performed again though and I wish they would perform more of these <i>SC </i>end songs from time to time.<br />
<br />
<br />
At this point it is easy to see that <b>Kisumai </b>are on track to their eventual debut. They may still have about a year to go to get the announcement but they have the strongest presence on the show and get highlighted consistently. I know back then I felt that they were being treated as the top Junior group and that was a good indication that they would be debuting eventually. So I am rather happy to have gotten that right.<br />
<br />
I do not recall paying much attention to the little Juniors when these episodes came out but I will be now that some of the faces are still around. So I hope we get to see more of them in the coming episodes like we did with <b>Reia </b>in this one.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-44293908242427362012014-01-23T23:49:00.000-05:002014-01-23T23:49:28.610-05:00The Shounen Club 17 January 2010 reviewI figure as long as I do one of these a week I will be okay. Hopefully I will be able to get back to a regular day for them but so much is just up in the air right now. But watching these episodes work as a good distraction for now so I do want to continue trying to do this for that.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wYIP_zocmdY/Ut9L2CT8O6I/AAAAAAAAWEA/TNrY_TwUlrQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-21-23h40m09s189.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wYIP_zocmdY/Ut9L2CT8O6I/AAAAAAAAWEA/TNrY_TwUlrQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-21-23h40m09s189.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
That aside the episode starts with the main Juniors groups (or the ones that have their own songs that have been prominent in the show) all get to sing a snippet of a song as the show starts. The other main Juniors come out during a dance break to get their screen time so they can have their name appear on the screen. This serves as the introduction portion.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pGTtu6EhL5U/Ut9MevCfTdI/AAAAAAAAWEI/wq7w7qwqujQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-21-23h43m17s255.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pGTtu6EhL5U/Ut9MevCfTdI/AAAAAAAAWEI/wq7w7qwqujQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-21-23h43m17s255.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
And we also get the guests of this episode <b>Hey! Say! BEST</b> in it as they sing the final song for it, <i>School Kakumei</i>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JiooWPNkGcE/Ut_fUu5b-GI/AAAAAAAAWEY/2YyziYzPOvg/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-22-10h09m45s105.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JiooWPNkGcE/Ut_fUu5b-GI/AAAAAAAAWEY/2YyziYzPOvg/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-22-10h09m45s105.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
For the opening MC <b>HSB </b>get officially introduced as the guests of the episode. Then <b>Tamamori Yuta</b> is brought over to help introduce the theme of the episode, Kansha (thanks, gratitude).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4T2YpYGcPJY/Ut_gtVoEkII/AAAAAAAAWEk/4sczGnVUSrY/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-22-10h14m15s233.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4T2YpYGcPJY/Ut_gtVoEkII/AAAAAAAAWEk/4sczGnVUSrY/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-22-10h14m15s233.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The following performance is a medley of older <b>Johnny's </b>songs, I believe it was mentioned this is a tribute to those older groups so it ties into the episode theme that way. It does let us see more of the ungrouped Juniors and the groups that usually do not get a lot of screen time though. Like the current grouping <b>Kyomoto Taiga</b> is a part of with <b>Anderson Casey</b>, <b>Kawashima Noeru</b> and <b>Yasui Kentaro</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XJRsUVrmsN4/Ut_hqcM2B7I/AAAAAAAAWEs/6MLijyAKF0U/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-22-10h18m57s242.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XJRsUVrmsN4/Ut_hqcM2B7I/AAAAAAAAWEs/6MLijyAKF0U/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-22-10h18m57s242.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
You can also start seeing <b>Nozawa Yuki</b> and <b>Sanada Yuma</b> being separated from the rest of <b>Mis Snow Man </b>in this medley as they perform a song on their own before the rest of the group come out for the next song.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ozpJceh_f_Q/Ut_i0TJrZfI/AAAAAAAAWE0/DFwAAz9NljU/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-22-10h22m29s24.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ozpJceh_f_Q/Ut_i0TJrZfI/AAAAAAAAWE0/DFwAAz9NljU/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-22-10h22m29s24.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The following MC is with <b>HSB </b>as they are asked about things they are grateful about with the members of their group. <b>HSB </b>all seem to be in high spirits here and this talk does allow them all to speak. <b>Inoo Kei </b>even gets to speak first, and I do wish he was given more chances to talk in general as he usually has something interesting to say. This time around he talks about some of the teasing he gets back stage from the others.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nQTDPBCTNXM/UuHht86oamI/AAAAAAAAWFE/z59UVQdQMqo/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-23-22h43m53s205.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nQTDPBCTNXM/UuHht86oamI/AAAAAAAAWFE/z59UVQdQMqo/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-23-22h43m53s205.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>HSB </b>then perform a medley of songs. They bring back songs from their Junior groups,<b> J.J. Express</b> and <b>Ya-Ya-Yah</b>, respectfully during the medley. Personally I love seeing them sing these songs as I like them both, <i>Back In Time</i> and <i>Stompin</i>. Especially the latter, and it is nice to see that these Junior groups are not getting forgotten even though they are not around any more.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vEEhzKc9PFk/UuHidV5xEGI/AAAAAAAAWFM/XaGqndBVFOU/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-23-22h46m50s206.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vEEhzKc9PFk/UuHidV5xEGI/AAAAAAAAWFM/XaGqndBVFOU/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-23-22h46m50s206.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
There is a Gekkan Koyamaru segment this episode and it is <b>Koyama Keiichiro</b>'s turn. He has a couple of photos and like all of his they involve other <b>Johnny's</b>, mostly his fellow group members. This time around we get this gem that is a photo of <b>Koyama </b>and <b>Kato Shigeaki</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CxM0fXAqiRU/UuHkqFmatbI/AAAAAAAAWFY/h_tkQDQmuc8/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-23-22h57m12s18.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CxM0fXAqiRU/UuHkqFmatbI/AAAAAAAAWFY/h_tkQDQmuc8/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-23-22h57m12s18.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
Up next is a performance by frequent visitor <b>Yara Tomoyuki</b> who has <b>They Budo</b> with him. They perform a medley of songs, with of course dance being the major focus of the performance.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iwIcz63nodA/UuHm9MwmoAI/AAAAAAAAWFg/nPazzpd-yiw/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-23-23h07m02s14.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iwIcz63nodA/UuHm9MwmoAI/AAAAAAAAWFg/nPazzpd-yiw/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-23-23h07m02s14.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
This is followed up by the game segment. I usually do not care to see debuted <b>Johnny's </b>in this segment but with how they set it up having the three members of <b>HSB </b>participate as well was not much of an issue for me. This was a dance quiz with four teams of three so there was a decent mix of Juniors, as the <b>HSB </b>members were only one team. This game was made really hard by not only the song choices but the fact that the song had to be guessed from a single dance move.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bnTHaKmNtSE/UuHrzdxV0VI/AAAAAAAAWFw/tqePs4FC3Lc/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-23-23h26m13s12.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bnTHaKmNtSE/UuHrzdxV0VI/AAAAAAAAWFw/tqePs4FC3Lc/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-23-23h26m13s12.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Kis-My-Ft2</b> then get to perform their song <i>Tension</i>. While I do not care much for the song itself I do like the performance as the group get to show off their roller skating skills for it. And they change things up a bit for the performance as the guys go backstage and around to go through the audience near the end.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Np8L34FwARE/UuHtKCTa1YI/AAAAAAAAWF4/OFc5NILQbQI/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-23-23h29m47s111.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Np8L34FwARE/UuHtKCTa1YI/AAAAAAAAWF4/OFc5NILQbQI/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-23-23h29m47s111.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The VTR segment was a learning corner again. This time it is <b>Nakajima Kento</b>,<b> Kikuchi Fuma</b> and <b>Tanaka Juri</b> learning about voice acting. <b>Furukawa Toshio</b>, a prolific voice actor who is the Japanese voice of <b>Piccolo </b>from the <i>Dragon Ball</i> series, is their instructor for the segment.<br />
<br />

This is followed by an MC with <b>A.B.C-Z</b> and <b>Yabu Kota</b>. <b>Yabu</b> is there with the group as during this time he was starring in a musical that had four of the five members of <b>Ebi </b>also in it. So they get to promote that.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-03V5VPICJTg/UuHvjZ5nYfI/AAAAAAAAWGE/hq1hemLDXxw/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-23-23h43m29s147.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-03V5VPICJTg/UuHvjZ5nYfI/AAAAAAAAWGE/hq1hemLDXxw/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-23-23h43m29s147.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The performance continues with the six as they do a medley so <b>Ebi </b>and <b>Yabu </b>get their own songs to perform.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NL5YtUBRY0E/UuHv74yc02I/AAAAAAAAWGM/G_9H3zYfNCk/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-23-23h45m19s219.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NL5YtUBRY0E/UuHv74yc02I/AAAAAAAAWGM/G_9H3zYfNCk/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-23-23h45m19s219.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
And since the whole group was around we have <b>Hey! Say! JUMP</b> performing the final song, <i>Romeo & Juliet</i>. The rest of the main Juniors come out on stage to back dance for the group.<br />
<br />
<br />
This is a good solid episode of the program and put me in good spirits watching it. While I prefer the episodes that focus more on the Juniors I think this had a good mix as the Juniors did not feel like they were being overlooked in favor of the guests.<br />
<br />
2010 may not have a lot of excitement for <b>Johnny's </b>I think there were plenty of solid episodes like this to enjoy for the program. For that I cannot wait to move on through the next ones.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-56447851869172172014-01-23T09:41:00.001-05:002014-01-23T09:41:10.507-05:00An update on the state of things.My mother passed away last night. She had not been doing so well for the past week or so though so I knew that outside of a miracle this was how it would end eventually.<br />
<br />
I still feel like I am in shock at the moment. I really cannot see what life without my mother being alive is going to be like. Even if she was no longer a part of my daily life she was someone I felt I could always count on to just be there.<br />
<br />
I want to thank everyone for their support. It meant a lot to me as these past couple of weeks or so have not been easy. So again thank you all.<br />
<br />
Will still blog if I feel up to it and have the free time as between the funeral and that I will be moving at the end of the month I have plenty to keep me busy. But right now doing things that stop me from dwelling on this seem to be how my mind wants to cope, so I do not see much changing with how things have been in the recent weeks for the blog.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-34971102374555595052014-01-17T00:20:00.000-05:002014-01-17T00:20:39.113-05:00Kisumai's lightSince this has been announced for some time it hardly feels like news anymore but the details for <b>Kis-My-Ft2</b>'s next single, <i>Hikari no Signal</i>, are out and the single is up for pre-order. Like their usual releases the single will come in three editions, two limited editions and a regular edition. It will be released on March 5th.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The first limited edition comes with a DVD with the PV and making of footage as well as the title track and a still untitled B-side.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/aff/click.cgi/e86NDzbdSLQ/740/A607011/detailview.html?KEY=AVCD-48949" target="_blank">Hikari no Signal [w/ DVD, Limited Edition / Type A] / Kis-My-Ft2</a>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<br />
The second limited edition also comes with a DVD with a PV with a <i>Doraemon </i>version of the title track and recording footage. It will have the same two tracks on the CD.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/aff/click.cgi/e86NDzbdSLQ/740/A607011/detailview.html?KEY=AVCD-48950" target="_blank">Hikari no Signal [w/ DVD, Limited Edition / Type B] / Kis-My-Ft2</a>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Then the regular edition will be just a CD with the two tracks on the LEs as well as a bonus third track. It will also come with one of three types of photo booklets.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/aff/click.cgi/e86NDzbdSLQ/740/A607011/detailview.html?KEY=AVCD-48951" target="_blank">Hikari no Signal [Regular Edition] / Kis-My-Ft2</a>
</div>
<br />
<br />
Honestly I feel like I have fallen behind with <b>Kisumai </b>despite being caught up with their releases. But right now I think I am more looking forward to their next album, which should not be too long a wait after this.<br />
<br />
I am curious to what the <i>Doraemon </i>version of the PV wil be though. I am guessing it will be a PV with footage from the movie that the song is a tie-in for. It is well within <b>Johnny's </b>usual cheapness when it comes to PVs.</div>

Of course I do not recall any major changes happening this year, instead I believe it is mainly just build up to the debuts of 2011.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JOKZKFbG8kI/Us6_AEnq3hI/AAAAAAAAWA4/z3YFZLe2Qws/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-09-10h22m44s18.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JOKZKFbG8kI/Us6_AEnq3hI/AAAAAAAAWA4/z3YFZLe2Qws/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-09-10h22m44s18.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The episode starts off with <b>NYC boys</b> (minus <b>Nakayama Yuma</b>) singing <i>NYC</i>. During the dance break in the song the main Junior groups show up for their introductions. They join the performance to help finish it off.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JtVtC39rHzQ/UtAbeYbYdjI/AAAAAAAAWBc/vlYhjOP9uDM/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-10-11h08m48s16.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JtVtC39rHzQ/UtAbeYbYdjI/AAAAAAAAWBc/vlYhjOP9uDM/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-10-11h08m48s16.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
For the introduction talk the guest of the episode is brought out, <b>Hey! Say! JUMP</b>. The theme of the episode is JUMP, in honor of them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-J7f3tkIxz0w/UtAcLmU30mI/AAAAAAAAWBk/UlFDPNEa4oQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-10-11h13m17s143.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-J7f3tkIxz0w/UtAcLmU30mI/AAAAAAAAWBk/UlFDPNEa4oQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-10-11h13m17s143.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The performance that follows this is for the group as they perform <i>Romeo & Juliet</i>, which is a B-side for their single <i>Hitomi no Screen</i>. It is one of their cute songs and they started selling gloves at the <i>Johnny's Store</i> with the group's name on them around this time. In fact the girls on the stage are all wearing them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YyyRS5c1c6A/UtDInXxalEI/AAAAAAAAWB0/UDKZBA3xz88/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-10-23h28m56s200.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YyyRS5c1c6A/UtDInXxalEI/AAAAAAAAWB0/UDKZBA3xz88/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-10-23h28m56s200.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>HSJ </b>is not done yet as they then have an MC segment after the performance. Each member gets to talk though which is nice, and each get to talk about something that they want to try in the coming year.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZXWwv_Hbg2Y/UtDJV4XN3uI/AAAAAAAAWB8/dku5ZKlJu5U/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-10-23h31m22s120.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZXWwv_Hbg2Y/UtDJV4XN3uI/AAAAAAAAWB8/dku5ZKlJu5U/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-10-23h31m22s120.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
Things then switch over to the Juniors as <b>Kis-My-Ft2</b> perform a medley of <b>Hikaru Genji</b> songs. As both groups had roller skates as their gimmick the performance makes use of that by using the special ramps <b>Kisumai </b>have.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qoSFHFLOHG4/UtDJ6XTXF0I/AAAAAAAAWCI/p0lmzFJtkeE/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-10-23h34m23s138.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qoSFHFLOHG4/UtDJ6XTXF0I/AAAAAAAAWCI/p0lmzFJtkeE/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-10-23h34m23s138.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
It is then back to <b>HSJ </b>as they do the You no Otegami Yomitai Desu! segment. Though to the show's credit they do use some of the members of the group that do not get a lot of screen time usually. The first letter asks about who in <b>HSJ </b>is the most stylish.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wFXUu2BS0dM/UtDK6muJVFI/AAAAAAAAWCQ/MLcj8le7lSY/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-10-23h37m50s156.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wFXUu2BS0dM/UtDK6muJVFI/AAAAAAAAWCQ/MLcj8le7lSY/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-10-23h37m50s156.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
There are more Juniors after this as <b>Snow Prince Gasshoudan</b> get to perform <i>Snow Prince</i>. It is the basic performance for the song so not much different from the last episode.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dinSkAAxr-4/UtIe84Mjq7I/AAAAAAAAWCg/Z0HzSkK16Gk/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-11-23h49m17s97.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dinSkAAxr-4/UtIe84Mjq7I/AAAAAAAAWCg/Z0HzSkK16Gk/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-11-23h49m17s97.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
It is then time for the game segment, where the only <b>HSJ </b>presence is <b>Yamada Ryosuke</b> and <b>Yaotome Hikaru</b> there as judges. It is the game where a prompt is given and the guys have to try to do it the best they can. The judges then decide on who did it the best. The first prompt is for poses for photos. Then they have to give ideas for a date during winter. Then I believe it is a story that you tell when late coming into work. The last is impersonations but they had to be new ones, so <b>Kawai Fumito</b> could not do his usual.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LKA-Zy-48pQ/UtIgUqyvwnI/AAAAAAAAWCs/2mnR-bdzjaM/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-11-23h53m22s1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LKA-Zy-48pQ/UtIgUqyvwnI/AAAAAAAAWCs/2mnR-bdzjaM/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-11-23h53m22s1.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
This is followed by a letter exchange with <b>Question?</b> members <b>Igo Akun</b> and <b>Fujiie Kazuyori</b>. Both are no longer with the agency and I cannot help but feel that things should have gone differently. But they happened as they did and I will just continue to miss this group.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YgT6YKSqih4/UtIgz2u7_EI/AAAAAAAAWC0/H5n0R9xebXk/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-11-23h56m36s163.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YgT6YKSqih4/UtIgz2u7_EI/AAAAAAAAWC0/H5n0R9xebXk/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-11-23h56m36s163.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The group then performs <i>Beautiful Mind</i> and I am given another reason to miss the group. Once they added <b>Goto Hiromi</b> to the group they had some of my favorite songs from them. Not to mention a way to stand out from the other band groups.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2nnAAleHFDA/UtIhcrQPlyI/AAAAAAAAWC8/aQEDKmVjo5s/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-11-23h57m58s222.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2nnAAleHFDA/UtIhcrQPlyI/AAAAAAAAWC8/aQEDKmVjo5s/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-11-23h57m58s222.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>NYC boys</b> get an MC corner. It is really just <b>Yamada </b>and <b>Chinen Yuri</b> talking during this and the topic is on their <i>Kohaku </i>performance. This was probably an odd MC to film as they would not have done the performance yet as the episodes are filmed a month in advance.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IInR-jNrRaw/UtKxW2ymNvI/AAAAAAAAWDM/EUhGsOnKqEo/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-12-10h14m11s15.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IInR-jNrRaw/UtKxW2ymNvI/AAAAAAAAWDM/EUhGsOnKqEo/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-12-10h14m11s15.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
Because <i>Shounen Club</i> and <i>Kohaku Uta Gassen</i> are aired by the same network, <i>NHK</i>, we get treated to some special footage of the preparation of <b>NYC boys</b>' <i>Kohaku </i>performance. Most of the focus is on the <b>NYC </b>members but <b>B.I.Shadow</b> gets some moments as well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2p-A3jDH7w0/UtKx_2MoqiI/AAAAAAAAWDU/J9sjTWy9pQU/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-12-10h17m01s188.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2p-A3jDH7w0/UtKx_2MoqiI/AAAAAAAAWDU/J9sjTWy9pQU/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-12-10h17m01s188.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Morimoto Shintaro</b> gets some screen time in this as well with <b>Snow Prince Gasshoudan</b> appearing on <i>Kohaku </i>that year in the special children's corner of the program.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-801EfwNYL6A/UtKyysF9YyI/AAAAAAAAWDg/lDZ-MsN6CrA/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-12-10h20m27s198.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-801EfwNYL6A/UtKyysF9YyI/AAAAAAAAWDg/lDZ-MsN6CrA/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-12-10h20m27s198.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
There is then a <b>NYC boys</b> performance for the <i>SC </i>recording after the VTR ends with a medley of songs from their single. It is a bit strange to have <b>Yamada </b>and <b>Chinen </b>perform <i>Akuma na Koi</i>, as that is the one song they are not a part of on the single.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jGTv2-wMJ8s/UtKz0WGT3aI/AAAAAAAAWDo/7r--rBr37Y8/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-12-10h23m50s175.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jGTv2-wMJ8s/UtKz0WGT3aI/AAAAAAAAWDo/7r--rBr37Y8/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-12-10h23m50s175.png" height="180" width="320" /></a></div>
The show then closes out with <b>HSJ </b>performing their debut song,<i> Ultra Music Power</i>. All the Juniors join in with the song, but mostly as back dancers. It was always weird to see <b>EbiKisu </b>back dancing for <b>HSJ</b>, but this is a rather rare occurrence.<br />
<br />
<br />
It was interesting watching this episode before the first episode of the program for 2014. If only to see that both had <i>Kohaku </i>footage to show. I enjoy that kind of stuff though as I love learning about what happens backstage and these do give little glimpses of that.<br />
<br />
Other than that seeing <b>HSJ </b>perform <i>Romeo & Juliet</i> made me happy. Even though it was years ago I still recall the joy I felt when the group finally released their fourth single, which of course featured <i>Romeo & Juliet </i>as a B-side. So this means we are not far off from that release and <i>Hitomi no Screen </i>performances. So while nothing major happens in 2010 there is still all those little things to look forward to.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-89559803510934063452014-01-09T23:26:00.000-05:002014-01-09T23:26:05.515-05:00The state of thingsI was planning on doing this near the first of the year but for various reasons I kept pushing it back. But I think it is time to stop delaying this.<br />
<br />
It looks like there will be yet another move for me in the near future. It is not all sorted out yet but it could happen later this month. It will not be far though and should not take me long to get myself set up once it is done.<br />
<br />
But the larger issue, and most current, is that on Wednesday night my mother had a heart attack. She has been in the hospital since and the doctors are aiming to do surgery on Monday. I will be heading over there for Monday and Tuesday to help support her and to help out my dad however I can. Needless to say around that time it will be very spotty if I will be doing anything related to fandom. But things have been positive so far and I am expecting my mom to keep recovering. And if I need a distraction from the stress/worry I know I will have my fandoms waiting for me.<br />
<br />
I will be cutting back the amount of posts I do for the blog officially. I will only do one Shounen Club episode review a week now and aim to have that done on Saturdays. At the moment that is all I feel that I can commit to though I will try to do a bit more once things settle.<br />
<br />
Cutting back a bit on blogging was pretty much bound to happen even without everything else happening. I have been focusing on my writing to do something that I have been thinking about for years: write a book series. I actually have finished the first novella of the series and for those who can buy from Amazon it is <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Never-Kiss-Vampire-First-Rainstone-ebook/dp/B00HRN4HJ8">up for sale</a>. (It is only in e-book form, but you only need a computer and the Kindle program for it to read it.) I plan to get two of these out a year, which is why I have to cut down on the blogging.<br />
<br />
That said I will still be updating when any news about the groups I follow pops up, and have a couple I need to get around to writing when I feel overly productive. So this month will probably be over the place when it comes to updates but hopefully things will settle soon enough and I can figure out what more I can commit to, as I plan on keeping this blog going for years to come.<br />

<br />
But according to the article the group will debut in April. As a lead up to that the group will be performing at Tokyo's Nissay theatre in February. The performances are to be a mix of songs and comedy (which I think means comedy sketches). Fans will get the chance to vote for which song they want the group to have as their debut single. (No word on how this will be done but I will assume this may be for the fans who attend the lives.)<br />
<br />
It also mentions<i> Johnny's Entertainment </i>being the record label for the group.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.daily.co.jp/gossip/2014/01/04/0006613864.shtml">Daily Sports Online</a> (Japanese)<br />
<br />
<br />
In the article though the 4 is dropped from the name though and it only lists them as<b> Johnny's WEST</b>. I will hold off from dropping it myself from the group. I assume when the lives start next month there will be something in the press and I guess in March we will get the date for the release with pre-order information. What name is used for those, especially for the pre-order is what I will go with. I actually would not mind going with <b>Johnny's WEST</b> over <b>Johnny's WEST 4</b>, as the former is less of a mouthful to say.<br />
<br />
Of course if this group is under <i>Johnny's Entertainment</i> for their record label then it means they will be with <b>Julie Kitagawa</b> and her faction of groups. This will probably work out well as they will be able to promote with <b>Kanjani8</b>, who should be a good match for them. I cannot wait to see the two groups interact.<br />
<br />
There is also a mention that more Kansai Juniors could debut but I am not holding my breath on that one as it is <b>Johnny Kitagawa</b> getting quoted and what he says in these kinds of articles do not always happen. Plus he mentioned debuting other Kansai Junior groups so it would not be making additions to this unit.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-60770926748826672692014-01-03T22:59:00.000-05:002014-01-03T22:59:49.793-05:00The Shounen Club 13 December 2009 reviewAnd we are now at the final episode for 2009 as this year does not have a Christmas special.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6BT62I_YKY4/UsDl9E0SMSI/AAAAAAAAV8g/Hr2oRRXJSPQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-29-22h17m02s96.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6BT62I_YKY4/UsDl9E0SMSI/AAAAAAAAV8g/Hr2oRRXJSPQ/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-29-22h17m02s96.png" width="320" /></a></div>
As I just mentioned this year does not have a Christmas special episode so as the final episode for the year gets to sorta stand in for it. And we get to see this with the opening medley that <b>Arioka Daiki </b>starts off with <b>Nakayama Yuma w/B.I.Shadow</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-an46nbhc30M/UsDmr9iAMDI/AAAAAAAAV8o/LyYVeuoVc0w/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-29-22h20m20s33.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-an46nbhc30M/UsDmr9iAMDI/AAAAAAAAV8o/LyYVeuoVc0w/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-29-22h20m20s33.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The medley is of Christmas related <b>Johnny's </b>songs and acts as the introduction of the main Juniors as they have their names show up on the screen as groups and groupings perform. <b>Hip Hop Jump</b> is back to five members with this episode. Let's see how long that lasts.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tutsflGPuFs/UsDnemLcY7I/AAAAAAAAV80/hSWT6D4fRKc/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-29-22h23m04s147.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tutsflGPuFs/UsDnemLcY7I/AAAAAAAAV80/hSWT6D4fRKc/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-29-22h23m04s147.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Daiki </b>is introduced as the special guest, Santa. While they talk about that I do not believe they actually announced the theme of the episode. Of course the theme is Christmas and it is shown on the screen, not to mention by now it should be pretty obvious.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CX92rhdr2oU/UsDy8cL7ylI/AAAAAAAAV9E/MGoRYrAx11I/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-29-23h11m41s131.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CX92rhdr2oU/UsDy8cL7ylI/AAAAAAAAV9E/MGoRYrAx11I/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-29-23h11m41s131.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>YuBIS </b>then perform, starting with two songs for the group, <i>I Can Catch the Moon</i> and<i> Akuma na Koi</i>. The former I am not sure where it is from but I do not think we see it performed again on the program.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0K6WQ8iPN54/UsDzvSmvlbI/AAAAAAAAV9M/sK27DgQnUxM/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-29-23h16m39s32.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0K6WQ8iPN54/UsDzvSmvlbI/AAAAAAAAV9M/sK27DgQnUxM/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-29-23h16m39s32.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Then <b>B.I.Shadow</b> leave the stage so <b>Yuma </b>can continue the medley with a couple of songs for him to sing solo, <i>Aoi Kiseki</i> and <i>Jigoroizumu</i>. The first is a B-side off the <b>NYC boys </b>single and a song that was never performed as much as I think it should have been.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nPu9mMe1qRQ/UsD0473fWHI/AAAAAAAAV9Y/q1EDj9ZakAs/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-29-23h18m19s17.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nPu9mMe1qRQ/UsD0473fWHI/AAAAAAAAV9Y/q1EDj9ZakAs/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-29-23h18m19s17.png" width="320" /></a></div>
In the following MC the main topic discussed is the announcement that <b>NYC boys</b> will be on <i>Kohaku Uta Gassen</i>. I had forgotten that it was <b>NYC boys</b> and not just <b>NYC </b>that went on the program for the first year. I guess this means <b>Nakajima Kento</b> and<b> Kikuchi Fuma</b> have been on <i>Kohaku </i>twice as an act with this previous <i>Kohaku </i>(as I am not counting back dancing) but with <b>Sexy Zone</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-23mcukQpV-k/UsTm00MXuiI/AAAAAAAAV94/wHi7aqNjTP8/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-01-22h44m29s189.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-23mcukQpV-k/UsTm00MXuiI/AAAAAAAAV94/wHi7aqNjTP8/s320/vlcsnap-2014-01-01-22h44m29s189.png" width="320" /></a></div>
To keep the spirit of Christmas alive in the episode <b>Arioka </b>comes on stage, still in the Santa costume, to do some "magic", which is mainly CGI that was added in for the TV broadcast. I cannot imagine it being too impressive to have seen this live.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DpmRiMwbGts/UsaFNEmQZKI/AAAAAAAAV-c/3p349wtQKhQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-04h38m13s126.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DpmRiMwbGts/UsaFNEmQZKI/AAAAAAAAV-c/3p349wtQKhQ/s320/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-04h38m13s126.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The following performance is <b>Yara Tomoyuki</b> with <b>TheyBudo </b>singing <i>Yuki no Furu Hi</i>, which of course was a <b>Butokan </b>song originally. And while the performance is not bad I really miss the vocals of the full <b>Butokan </b>group in this one. But as one would expect from Juniors that specialize in dancing everything else was spot on.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DiAFu77qGZ8/UsaF8myt4sI/AAAAAAAAV-k/dBuM_vMyh9c/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-04h41m35s104.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DiAFu77qGZ8/UsaF8myt4sI/AAAAAAAAV-k/dBuM_vMyh9c/s320/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-04h41m35s104.png" width="320" /></a></div>
There is more of <b>Arioka </b>as Santa as we get a short skit. <b>Matsumura Hokuto</b> and <b>Kochi Yugo</b> make an appearance to pretend to be goats when <b>Arioka</b>!Santa is looking for reindeer.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-x6Xx1hzdZlY/UsaHAHeUaII/AAAAAAAAV-w/bpz3Ui0F9Is/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-04h46m09s29.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-x6Xx1hzdZlY/UsaHAHeUaII/AAAAAAAAV-w/bpz3Ui0F9Is/s320/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-04h46m09s29.png" width="320" /></a></div>
This is followed by a medley by <b>Kis-My-Ft2</b>, starting with <i>Inori </i>then <b>Fujigaya Taisuke</b> sings his solo <i>Maria</i>. The whole group then finishes it off with <i>Firebeat</i>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yT5WnHAf5tE/UsaH8ntM-tI/AAAAAAAAV-4/UTj94uY1WJM/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-04h50m28s32.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yT5WnHAf5tE/UsaH8ntM-tI/AAAAAAAAV-4/UTj94uY1WJM/s320/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-04h50m28s32.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The game segment is an <b>A.B.C-Z</b> versus <b>Kis-My-Ft2</b> battle. They do four games to determine a winning group starting with one where one member has to spin around then run over to pick up another member and carry them back across the stage. This is followed by a game where one member sits on a pile of cushions while another member has to remove them from under them one at a time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QqetpelfXiY/UsaIvK3vIBI/AAAAAAAAV_A/OjdsT82HpSY/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-04h53m50s42.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QqetpelfXiY/UsaIvK3vIBI/AAAAAAAAV_A/OjdsT82HpSY/s320/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-04h53m50s42.png" width="320" /></a></div>
And at sometime uchiwa have been allowed again for the show's filming as for the third challenge the guys had to borrow some from the audience. Instead of finding one of his own <b>Tamamori Yuta</b> ended up picking up one for <b>Nakamaru Yuichi</b> to use that drew attention from the hosts.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RiiozUwrVvg/UsaJGv5C9jI/AAAAAAAAV_I/2Pk1xWwxdpw/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-04h55m15s127.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RiiozUwrVvg/UsaJGv5C9jI/AAAAAAAAV_I/2Pk1xWwxdpw/s320/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-04h55m15s127.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The final game was dancing musical chairs which of course is always a joy to watch. Though I cannot help but think that it was probably a bit unfair to use everyone as <b>Kisumai </b>outnumbers <b>Ebi</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kjvzKIGgUtk/UseAVk77jaI/AAAAAAAAV_g/DOexTgK-Gvg/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-22h30m15s34.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-kjvzKIGgUtk/UseAVk77jaI/AAAAAAAAV_g/DOexTgK-Gvg/s320/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-22h30m15s34.png" width="320" /></a></div>
A You no Otegami Yomitai Desu! segment follows this, so if you felt like you did not get enough <b>EbiKisu </b>from the past segment here is some more. <b>Kawai Fumito</b> gets to do some impersonations near the end, first doing <b>Yamamoto Ryota</b> then <b>Totsuka Shota</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aRY3XC5_Zrk/UseBU-gbhuI/AAAAAAAAV_s/CDWjQeNYNoo/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-22h34m29s15.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aRY3XC5_Zrk/UseBU-gbhuI/AAAAAAAAV_s/CDWjQeNYNoo/s320/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-22h34m29s15.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>A.B.C-Z</b> then gets to perform and start off with <i>Sayonara Box</i> before moving on to <i>Kodoku no Runaway</i>. Then they finish up with <i>Vanilla</i>. The group remain consistent with their level of performance though I kinda wish we got them moving more during this medley.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6faBxP0ZbO4/UseCgptQIsI/AAAAAAAAV_0/2s-zy4hf0KE/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-22h37m21s207.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6faBxP0ZbO4/UseCgptQIsI/AAAAAAAAV_0/2s-zy4hf0KE/s320/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-22h37m21s207.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Morimoto Shintaro</b> gets an MC segment with the hosts as they discuss his movie and new unit, <b>Snow Prince Gasshoudan</b>. The performance for the song that is the title track for the group's one off single, <i>Snow Prince</i>, is brought up to talk about the sign language used. <b>Koyama Keiichiro</b> gets to talk a bit about this as he had learned some sign language himself recently.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2JanaiB9Qbc/UseDQO8at-I/AAAAAAAAV_8/wExdJQcpr7w/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-22h42m42s81.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2JanaiB9Qbc/UseDQO8at-I/AAAAAAAAV_8/wExdJQcpr7w/s320/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-22h42m42s81.png" width="320" /></a></div>
We get another classroom segment for the VTR in this episode. This time it is <b>Morimoto Shintaro</b> and a few of the other <b>Snow Prince Gasshoudan</b> members learning about sign language. Like with the past segment like this if you have decent grasp of Japanese and are interested in the topic than this is probably will be interesting. Otherwise unless you are a big fan of one of the boys in this you can probably skip it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l4DYRCwnl7g/UseDzsAX5aI/AAAAAAAAWAI/7TzsMZkn-Bw/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-22h44m46s28.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l4DYRCwnl7g/UseDzsAX5aI/AAAAAAAAWAI/7TzsMZkn-Bw/s320/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-22h44m46s28.png" width="320" /></a></div>
There is then the stage performance of the song, with of course the sign language used in it. And I totally forgot just how tiny everyone in this group was. This is the final formation for the group and Juniors in it that I know for certain that are still in <b>Johnny's </b>are; <b>Kishimoto Shintaro</b>, <b>Nakamura Reia</b>, <b>Kurita Kei</b>, <b>Haba Yuki</b>, <b>Hashimoto Ryo</b> and <b>Inoue Mizuki</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ul0QMtYprMg/UseGAyYobII/AAAAAAAAWAU/LukXXa9LNJY/s1600/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-22h53m47s83.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ul0QMtYprMg/UseGAyYobII/AAAAAAAAWAU/LukXXa9LNJY/s320/vlcsnap-2014-01-03-22h53m47s83.png" width="320" /></a></div>
And by now it is time to wrap up the episode with the final song. This is not a <b>Johnny's </b>song, I am not sure who the original singer was but I know I have heard it covered by non-<b>Johnny's</b> as well. The title of the song is <i>Miagete Goran Yoru no Hoshi o</i> and it is a slow folksy-sounding song.<br />
<br />
<br />
And with that 2009 closes. It feels weird not to have a Christmas special as it had been tradition until this year. Though it does help with trying to catch up with the program.<br />
<br />
This is definitely an episode for <b>EbiKisu </b>fans with how much those two groups are featured. But they do remain fun to watch and the game segment was one of the main highlights of the program. I would not mind seeing all the games played in this episode resurface again in the more current episodes. Though I do hope we get Juniors playing them as well.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-89357885908280027042013-12-31T23:57:00.000-05:002013-12-31T23:57:14.303-05:00Q&A Month! (2012): Question 8And finally finishing this up. So one last thank you for everyone who left me a question to answer for this.<br />
<br />
This question comes from nanu b: <span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">the scense or the main point of the shounen club used to be the presentation or introduction of the jrs, and between the jrs you could easyly spot the main jrs that would make it(debut) sooner or later , right?</span><span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;"> </span><br />
<span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">nowadays shokura is just a program were you can see 3 or 2 debut groups plus a guest</span><br style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;" /><span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">(who is obviously another debut sempai) and see games where the participants are also debut sempais! 3 years of this and I don´t have a clue about who are the main Jrs! they push the baka team then split the baka team , then for months you see Taiga and Juri at front then Hoku and Jessy, then noon boys then snow man then jrs all over the place (just backdancing ) but no one is clearly a main Jr!</span><br style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;" /><span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">I love HSJ, ABCZ and Sexy boys are cute and everything but what about the jrs?</span><br style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;" /><span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">my question is : What are your thoughts about Shokura, the Jrs of this "era" and the debuted sempais that are still in the show?</span><br style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;" /><span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">I´m sorry for the intro of the question</span><br />
No need to apologize. Honestly the amount of focus on debuted groups on <i>Shounen Club</i> in the past couple of years has bothered me as well. I would say it has gotten better with the longer length of the program as they can fit in another performance on the show and it seems to be going to the Juniors. But I would rather see more Juniors and less of the debuted <b>Johnny's</b>. Though it looks like there is a good chance the <b>Hey! Say! JUMP </b>members will be leaving the program when the new season begins in April, as they seem to be sidelined by <b>Sexy Zone</b> and <b>A.B.C-Z</b> nowadays and do not seem to serve much of a purpose on the show.<br />
<br />
I would love it if <b>SZ </b>and <b>Ebi </b>get less of a presence on the show as well, maybe never give them more than one performance each for an episode and no longer have them participate in the Junior game segment. I think that should strike an okay balance for now, though <b>Ebi </b>should probably start moving towards leaving the program now that they are getting their own shows to be in.<br />
<br />
They have made it hard to figure out which Juniors to follow if you want to focus on those most likely to debut. I think the best way to figure that out now is to look at which ones get work outside of the program. But I think <b>Jesse </b>and <b>Matsumura Hokuto</b> would be safe bets as they do seem to get steady focus when it comes to the older Juniors.<br />
<br />
I think the four of the <b>Sexy Boyz</b> grouping are definitely Juniors to watch as well. Johnny's seems to have a thing about putting Juniors they seem to have plans for in groups of four, like <b>Four Tops</b>, <b>Ya-Ya-Yah</b> and <b>B.I.Shadow</b>. Of course not all of the <b>SB </b>four will debut, I would put money on <b>Jinguji Yuta</b> and <b>Iwahashi Genki</b> having the best shots at a debut though.<br />
<br />
In fact with the <b>Johnny's WEST 4</b> debut announcement I think it is safe to say that there are going to be debuts between now and 2020, so I am anticipating the next debut after <b>JW4 </b>to be a <i>FIVB </i>group for 2015. I can definitely see <b>Jinguji </b>and <b>Genki </b>being placed in that group seeing as I do not believe they have been attached to <b>Twenty Twenty</b>. And of course they will need to have some other Juniors debut with them so SC is not useless for trying to find who will debut next yet.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-26534129521965451342013-12-31T22:09:00.006-05:002013-12-31T22:09:50.057-05:00Q&A Month! (2012): Question 7There is no way I am going into the new year without finishing this up. So here is the first of the last two questions I still have to answer and I will get out the second before midnight.<br />
<br />
<br />
This question was asked by an anonymous commenter: <span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">Johnny-san isn't getting any younger. I am sure plans are being made about what to do with Johnny's Entertainment after he retires or dies. Do you think the Organization is in for major changes once that happens, or will everything be business as usual? And will Takizawa H. have any role to play? Thanks.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
I doubt there will be any major changes for <b>Johnny's & Associates</b> once <b>Johnny Kitagawa</b> hands the company over. Sure there will be some eventually but I expect it to be a gradual change. I doubt there will be the major schism some fans fear when a successor is chosen from either <b>Julie Kitagawa</b> or <b>Iijima Michi</b>.<br />
<br />
Japanese companies are notorious for having the president position actually having little power with most of the activity coming from those in line for that position as they fight over it. This is what we are currently seeing with the factions but once there is a winner things will settle down as these things tend to do.<br />
<br />
Also <b>Johnny's </b>in general seems to go for the "if it isn't broke then don't fix it" kind of approach so there is little drive for the agency to break away from what they are already doing.<br />
<br />
I think <b>Tackey </b>is well on his way to getting himself in on the management side of things with <b>Johnny's </b>for the long run. But for him his focus seem to be mainly with the Juniors and I do not see that changing for him. I see him having a position similar to <b>Higashiyama Noriyuki</b>, who also is both a talent for the agency as well is one the other side of things. When it comes to what it going on at the top I do not think he will have much to say in the matter though he is one of the few talents that does not seem to have to pick sides in it.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-32436900055482680422013-12-31T19:43:00.000-05:002013-12-31T19:43:26.696-05:00Johnny's WEST 4 debut!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It was announced at <i>Johnny's Countdown</i> (which I sadly missed because of work) that we are indeed getting a Kansai Junior debut in 2014. The group will be called <b>Johnny's WEST 4</b> and will have four members, <b>Kiriyama Akito</b>, <b>Nakama Junta</b>, <b>Shigeoka Daiki</b> and <b>Kotaki Nozomu</b>. No date has been given for their CD debut but it will most likely be in the first half of the year to go with the initial announcement for a Kansai group debuting from about a month or so ago.<br />
<br />
<br />
I first off want to say that I am beyond happy that we are finally getting a Kanjuu debut. It has been about ten years since <b>Kanjani8 </b>debuted so this debut feels like it is long overdue. Especially for <b>Akito </b>and <b>Junta </b>who have been around for so long as Juniors. I am not surprised that <b>Shigeoka </b>made the cut, and with how he has been pushed recently <b>Kotaki </b>makes sense.<br />
<br />
I am curious to how the group will shape up. As it is there is a large age gap between the eldest member, <b>Junta</b>, and the youngest, <b>Kotaki</b>, of nine years. But <b>Kotaki </b>will be turning eighteen in 2014 so the gap should not be too bad as they are all around adulthood, in fact <b>Kotaki </b>is the only under 20 member of the group.<br />
<br />
Of course I see <b>Akito </b>as the leader of the group with <b>Shigeoka </b>as the face, though I would not be surprised if <b>Kotaki </b>eventually replaces him for that. But then again with only four members it probably will not matter too much as it is not like a member can be easily overshadowed when there are so few.<br />
<br />
I just hope <b>Akito </b>and <b>Junta </b>are the lead vocals, as the other two are not nearly as song as vocalists. But I do expect this group to have all four members get solo lines, if partly because of size and partly because the younger members are probably going to be used a lot to bring in fans.<br />
<br />
<br />
Now after getting the flailing out and hopes I will admit that this news was bittersweet. I really hoped that there would be more Kanjuu debuting with this, like the rest of <b>7WEST </b>and perhaps also <b>Hamada Takahiro </b>and <b>Hamanaka Bunichi</b>. There are just so many Kanjuu that I feel are ready for debut and while I love the four that are getting this chance I just wish there were more with them.<br />
<br />
A part of me hopes that maybe the CD debut is actually a one shot thing and they will have a career debut with other Kanjuu added onto the group afterwards, but I am filing that under "fool's dreams" for now.<br />
<br />
I can only assume that perhaps with the smaller number of members for this group that perhaps <b>Johnny's </b>wanted to make sure this group would be seen as different than <b>Kanjani8</b>. And it would be nice to have a group that will not be able to shaft members when it comes to screen time and being on the jackets for the group's releases among the newer groups. I am just going to feel divided about this for some time.<br />
<br />
But in the end I am still really happy, especially for <b>Akito </b>and <b>Junta </b>finally debuting, and together no less. So you expect me to be a<b> Johnny's WEST 4</b> fan.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-59471354628654873362013-12-27T00:57:00.002-05:002013-12-27T00:57:54.746-05:00The Shounen Club 8 December 2009 reviewMerry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! I know it's late but I never seem to be able to get anything out on time these days.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rC89nTzqyJQ/UrzmIDJNfVI/AAAAAAAAV5Y/GLczXjdRtzU/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-21h17m49s170.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rC89nTzqyJQ/UrzmIDJNfVI/AAAAAAAAV5Y/GLczXjdRtzU/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-21h17m49s170.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The episode starts off with <b>Takaki Yuya</b> and <b>Nakajima Yuto</b> leading a performance of <i>Yuuki 100%</i>. This pretty much confirms we will have <b>Hey! Say! JUMP</b> members continuing to be support hosts for the program for the rest of the year. Or at least should with this being the second month of this.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yLbZknWi4vE/UrzmIDNPbkI/AAAAAAAAV5U/LT7Bnc5hy7E/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-21h21m38s153.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yLbZknWi4vE/UrzmIDNPbkI/AAAAAAAAV5U/LT7Bnc5hy7E/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-21h21m38s153.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The rest of the beginning performances are short versions of singles that debut groups released that year with it ending with <b>Kanjani8</b>'s <i>Kyu Jyu Show</i> with the guests of the episode, <b>Yasuda Shota</b> and <b>Ohkura Tadayoshi</b> leading that song.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rTfqsTZ6L1M/UrzmTYqwmeI/AAAAAAAAV5k/sC4TTKvHjY0/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-21h29m58s25.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rTfqsTZ6L1M/UrzmTYqwmeI/AAAAAAAAV5k/sC4TTKvHjY0/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-21h29m58s25.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The starting talk brings <b>Koyama Keiichiro</b> and <b>Nakamaru Yuichi </b>on stage so they can go over what the theme will be. Being the final month of the year the theme of the episode is 2009, so it should focus on looking back on what happened during that year.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RWd_Zozn4H4/UrzoPJFQbMI/AAAAAAAAV50/PW0g7Qqu0FU/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-21h31m09s227.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RWd_Zozn4H4/UrzoPJFQbMI/AAAAAAAAV50/PW0g7Qqu0FU/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-21h31m09s227.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Since they already went through the major 2009 single releases the next performance is a <b>B.I. Shadow </b>performance instead of a medley. <b>BIS </b>perform <i>Dial Up</i>, and while it is not bad I much prefer the <b>7WEST </b>or <b>NYC boys</b> version as they have some stronger sounding vocals, as right now <b>Nakajima Kento </b>and <b>Kikuchi Fuma</b> do not seem to be quite there yet.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2kWqh-sUO8w/UrzoPJCVynI/AAAAAAAAV5w/wlgiw-NDAR0/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-21h33m23s40.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2kWqh-sUO8w/UrzoPJCVynI/AAAAAAAAV5w/wlgiw-NDAR0/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-21h33m23s40.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Up next is a Gekkan KoyaMaru segment with <b>Nakamaru </b>sharing this time. He strayed from his usual subjects and actually took a picture of his group mates. It is a bit sad to see <b>Tanaka Koki </b>and it also seem strange to hear them talk about <b>Akanishi Jin</b> as a member of the group. It has only been a few years since this yet so much has changed for<b> KAT-TUN</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rZrfue20Ft0/UrzyJ_jGXFI/AAAAAAAAV6I/dbqnn4SR5zw/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-22h17m57s140.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rZrfue20Ft0/UrzyJ_jGXFI/AAAAAAAAV6I/dbqnn4SR5zw/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-22h17m57s140.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The next performance starts with <b>Question?</b> performing their song <i>HOLY HEAVEN</i>. It segues into <b>Takaki</b>'s solo song <i>Michishirube </i>that <b>Yuto </b>joins in with the band on the drums. I really wish <b>HSJ </b>would release solo songs for the members of the group as I want all of <b>Takaki</b>'s solos at CD quality one day.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--gYkf28lRQw/Urz3mDhcW3I/AAAAAAAAV6Y/f__UMzoWmJM/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-22h43m14s211.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/--gYkf28lRQw/Urz3mDhcW3I/AAAAAAAAV6Y/f__UMzoWmJM/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-22h43m14s211.png" width="320" /></a></div>
After a drumming intermission <b>A.B.C-Z</b> then joins the band on stage to perform a song called <i>Naked</i>. I am glad to see <b>Ebi </b>back after being missing from the show last month. They bring so much fun and energy and this song is no exception.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QSGoEu06ok4/Urz4fMMmdRI/AAAAAAAAV6g/iMeheUCJP7c/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-22h47m20s107.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QSGoEu06ok4/Urz4fMMmdRI/AAAAAAAAV6g/iMeheUCJP7c/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-22h47m20s107.png" width="320" /></a></div>
There is a You no Otegami Yomitai Desu! segment hosted by <b>Fujigaya Taisuke</b> featuring <b>BIS</b>. <b>Nakaken </b>gets to show off his beat boxing skills as <b>Fuma </b>raps a bit. I had completely forgotten that <b>Nakaken </b>could beat box as he had not done any for so long. I wonder if he is still in practice or not. <b>Kochi Yugo</b> gets a fan letter read from a fan from Texas which makes him incredibly happy. And of course <b>Matsumura Hokuto</b> then gets a chance to talk so all the members are covered.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OTq5jpTKrfw/Ur0JObx-PmI/AAAAAAAAV6w/17E0vZEJ3ro/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-23h57m05s236.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OTq5jpTKrfw/Ur0JObx-PmI/AAAAAAAAV6w/17E0vZEJ3ro/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-26-23h57m05s236.png" width="320" /></a></div>
There is then a Junior special medley starting with <i>A Ha Ha</i> with <b>Kyomoto Taiga</b> and company which consists of <b>Yasui Kentaro</b>, <b>Anderson Casey</b> and <b>Kawashima Noeru</b>. Then <b>Masuda Ryo</b> gets to lead with his grouping of Juniors with <i>Mou Tomaranai</i>. Then it is <b>Mis Snow Man</b> with <i>Genkai Meter</i>. There is then a<i> Seigi no Mikata wa Ateninaranai</i> cover by <b>Hip Hop Jump</b>, which in this episode <b>Tanaka Juri</b>, <b>Hagiya Keigo </b>and <b>Jesse</b>. Then of course it is <b>Snow Prince Gasshoudan</b> with the usual performance of <i>Bitter Moon</i>, which is the performance that finishes off the medley.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3XwtwPocz2g/Ur0LnZGURYI/AAAAAAAAV68/9_YgxRMoga4/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h07m44s226.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3XwtwPocz2g/Ur0LnZGURYI/AAAAAAAAV68/9_YgxRMoga4/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h07m44s226.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Following this is the game corner which brings out <b>Yasuda </b>and <b>Ohkura </b>to be judges for a prompt battle. Basically the Juniors, plus <b>Yuto </b>and <b>Takaki</b>, are divided up in two teams and one member from each team must act out a prompt that <b>Yasu </b>and <b>Ohkura </b>judge which is better. This is one of those games where it helps to know some Japanese to help figure out what the prompts are.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IKndaMVbLj0/Ur0NWJQOhII/AAAAAAAAV7I/1hxraMsWEGw/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h15m51s224.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IKndaMVbLj0/Ur0NWJQOhII/AAAAAAAAV7I/1hxraMsWEGw/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h15m51s224.png" width="320" /></a></div>
There is finally an MC with the guests and of course they are asked about what they did in 2009. This leads to promotion to the drama that they were both in, <i>ROMES</i>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-m9aKdEfcBiw/Ur0ODftj_QI/AAAAAAAAV7Q/ZBbDtTFHrus/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h19m41s218.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-m9aKdEfcBiw/Ur0ODftj_QI/AAAAAAAAV7Q/ZBbDtTFHrus/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h19m41s218.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The two then perform a medley of <b>Kanjani8 </b>songs together. It looks weird to just have the two of them but it is nice to be able to better match the voices with members as they really cannot hide behind other members with just the two of them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-asVyeA-I2fo/Ur0PqwFFitI/AAAAAAAAV7c/dFb5qFW7kzs/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h25m59s161.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-asVyeA-I2fo/Ur0PqwFFitI/AAAAAAAAV7c/dFb5qFW7kzs/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h25m59s161.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Then it is time for the Junior ni Q segment which asks the Juniors to talk about things that happened to them in 2009. The first up is <b>Haba Yuki</b>, who I am pretty sure is still around, and <b>Hashimoto Ryo</b>, who I know is still around. Being their first time being called over they get to introduce themselves first.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xiztXczqmF0/Ur0QWCFTK6I/AAAAAAAAV7k/c5RPK7xd77I/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h28m14s243.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xiztXczqmF0/Ur0QWCFTK6I/AAAAAAAAV7k/c5RPK7xd77I/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h28m14s243.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Fujigaya Taisuke</b> is up next. He starts off talking about <b>Haba </b>and <b>Ryo </b>before moving on to actually talk about his answer. Unfortunately I could not really follow what he was saying then.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xa8PQfCAKVA/Ur0QmlU2FQI/AAAAAAAAV7s/t5nTAobrVHg/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h30m43s197.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xa8PQfCAKVA/Ur0QmlU2FQI/AAAAAAAAV7s/t5nTAobrVHg/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h30m43s197.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Matsumura Hokuto</b> is called over and of course he talks about joining the agency that year as well as getting his CD debut soon after.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qyt9PlyEqWc/Ur0Q4V78nJI/AAAAAAAAV70/EQVIzlFOcvE/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h31m53s125.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qyt9PlyEqWc/Ur0Q4V78nJI/AAAAAAAAV70/EQVIzlFOcvE/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h31m53s125.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Then it is <b>Senga Kento</b> and he gets to complain about being called gorilla, which was the running gag with him throughout the year. And that ends the segment.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-I8JIMbdEnyg/Ur0RP5PNNLI/AAAAAAAAV78/HoSZMnbM-y4/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h33m26s20.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-I8JIMbdEnyg/Ur0RP5PNNLI/AAAAAAAAV78/HoSZMnbM-y4/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h33m26s20.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Kis-My-Ft2</b> then get an MC where they get to talk about their solo concerts and thank the fans that came to see them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It has been a long time since <b>Kisumai </b>has done a cover song but since it is a <b>Hikaru Genji</b>, <i>Kaze no Naka no Shounen</i>, song it seems fitting. Especially as they break out the roller skates for it. And I will always be impressed that they can do so much in the skates without falling over most of the time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-F-mafUpTJoU/Ur0S_i-UHzI/AAAAAAAAV8Q/1NUDX2Ky20k/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h40m28s122.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-F-mafUpTJoU/Ur0S_i-UHzI/AAAAAAAAV8Q/1NUDX2Ky20k/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-27-00h40m28s122.png" width="320" /></a></div>
With that it is time to wrap up the episode and the closing song for it is <i>Days</i>, which starts off with <b>EbiKisu </b>leading with the vocals. They are later joined by some of the older Juniors, so the ending song with the younger Juniors will be in the next episode.<br />
<br />
<br />
A great episode when it comes to focusing on the Juniors. I really wish the current<i> Shounen Club</i> episodes would move towards more of that. I mean even with the extra debuted <b>Johnny's </b>in this episode they did not seem to overwhelm it with their presence and it allowed a good amount of Juniors some time in the spotlight. Or basically what I expect out of the program.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-26095625109224940982013-12-22T01:07:00.000-05:002013-12-22T01:07:30.514-05:00The Shounen Club 8 November 2009 reviewAnd we continue to see Hey! Say! JUMP slowly return to the program as regulars with this episode.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gXdsuPSHpl0/UrVBq9BDLiI/AAAAAAAAV18/bCttuiUI56k/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-21-02h16m58s88.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gXdsuPSHpl0/UrVBq9BDLiI/AAAAAAAAV18/bCttuiUI56k/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-21-02h16m58s88.png" width="320" /></a></div>
This episode opens up with <b>Takaki Yuya </b>and <b>Nakajima Yuto</b> doing the intro at the very start. Like <b>Arioka Daiki</b> in the previous episode they are "helpers" for <b>Koyama Keiichiro</b> and <b>Nakamaru Yuichi</b> for hosting the program.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZfwoXedX-84/UrVBqrwXlsI/AAAAAAAAV14/yOHPxCrQIG8/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-21-02h18m41s79.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZfwoXedX-84/UrVBqrwXlsI/AAAAAAAAV14/yOHPxCrQIG8/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-21-02h18m41s79.png" width="320" /></a></div>
With the introductions <b>Hip Hop Jump</b> still looks to be in flux with its members as only three are present. Unfortunately we do not get a good look at them all but <b>Tanaka Juri </b>and <b>Hagiya Keigo</b> are definites.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hakOLXRNUsA/UrVCg_LP8lI/AAAAAAAAV2I/5myEMk49JwM/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-21-02h23m59s202.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hakOLXRNUsA/UrVCg_LP8lI/AAAAAAAAV2I/5myEMk49JwM/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-21-02h23m59s202.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Like with the previous episode we are introduced to the guest at the beginning and <b>Yamashita Tomohisa</b> is back on the program. This is around the time his solo activities were picking up as he had his first solo concerts. The theme of the episode is Yuuki (courage).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wj7sn6LQlOo/UrVGcmtTmaI/AAAAAAAAV2U/FoHziku8foY/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-21-02h40m38s189.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wj7sn6LQlOo/UrVGcmtTmaI/AAAAAAAAV2U/FoHziku8foY/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-21-02h40m38s189.png" width="320" /></a></div>
There is an actual theme medley for this episode though the medley is more a chance to show off the younger Juniors as many get to show off other skills than the usual singing and dancing as they pull out soccer and basketballs and even have roller blades and a trick bicycle being used at one point.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5nf3jcKIcsg/UrVG8-H7-PI/AAAAAAAAV2c/t4Q4R0h_2yM/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-21-02h44m07s234.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5nf3jcKIcsg/UrVG8-H7-PI/AAAAAAAAV2c/t4Q4R0h_2yM/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-21-02h44m07s234.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The following MC is with <b>Yamapi </b>and the talk is about his solo work, especially his solo concerts. But he brings up the differences between doing something solo compared to being in a group.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZMmUSGm3EC4/UrVHtvJUasI/AAAAAAAAV2k/78_wa7QtmAI/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-21-02h46m28s118.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZMmUSGm3EC4/UrVHtvJUasI/AAAAAAAAV2k/78_wa7QtmAI/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-21-02h46m28s118.png" width="320" /></a></div>
He then performs <i>Loveless</i>. I like the song, in fact I do like <b>Yamapi</b>'s early solo singles in general, I did find the performance underwhelming. Most of it coming from the fact that he just stands in place for most of it and while he does hand movements it seems lacking without a dance of some kind to go with it. In fact if he even just had a couple of Juniors back dancing on stage it probably would have helped liven the performance.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sW-fZ_tegag/UrZzBcRIjbI/AAAAAAAAV20/6enE1hYEeds/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h04m05s223.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sW-fZ_tegag/UrZzBcRIjbI/AAAAAAAAV20/6enE1hYEeds/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h04m05s223.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Up next is the Gekkan KoyaMaru segment with <b>Koyama </b>as the one with a picture to share.<b> Tegoshi Yuya</b> is the <b>NEWS </b>member in the picture this time around and <b>Koyama </b>talks about how it came about.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MaWwXJrX-QA/UrZzYPtru0I/AAAAAAAAV28/Vn5WHqC6nF8/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h05m55s48.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MaWwXJrX-QA/UrZzYPtru0I/AAAAAAAAV28/Vn5WHqC6nF8/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h05m55s48.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Question?</b> then performs <i>Beast Soul</i>, and just the one song so we get to hear more of it than last time. This performance just makes me miss the members of the band that have left. It is a real pity they ended up in <b>Johnny's </b>when the agency had pretty much given up on bands.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nOUSLBkJINQ/UrZ0VMECDjI/AAAAAAAAV3E/N0R1AOnuyQk/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h09m46s31.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nOUSLBkJINQ/UrZ0VMECDjI/AAAAAAAAV3E/N0R1AOnuyQk/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h09m46s31.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Following this we have the game segment and it is one with various games with the participating Juniors being paired off into groups of two to compete. This is a pretty fun game segment to watch as the games are easy to follow and <b>Kitayama Hiromitsu</b> does quite a bit to bring some added humor like pointing out that his partner, <b>Nozawa Yuki</b>, looks like the outfit he is wearing is something a "hotelman" would wear. And the fact that they have Juniors that normally do not participate in this is also a plus.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OuH5Rb7pWvs/UrZ1sVTlq9I/AAAAAAAAV3M/so534uxbf1c/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h15m03s153.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OuH5Rb7pWvs/UrZ1sVTlq9I/AAAAAAAAV3M/so534uxbf1c/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h15m03s153.png" width="320" /></a></div>
There is then an MC segment with <b>Yuto </b>and a few Juniors: <b>Masuda Ryo</b>, <b>Sanada Yuma</b> and <b>Kyomoto Taiga</b>. <b>MasuRyo </b>talks about trying manzai for <i>SUMMARY</i>, and <b>Sanada </b>said something about ghosts I believe. I was not able to catch what <b>Taiga </b>talked about but I do marvel at how much he seems to have grown since I last noticed him. His voice is noticeably cracking too, so the cute tiny <b>Taiga </b>is quickly disappearing.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GWrAVCLEZ8A/UrZ4ztIDknI/AAAAAAAAV3Y/93b4kw1oYX0/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h26m35s149.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GWrAVCLEZ8A/UrZ4ztIDknI/AAAAAAAAV3Y/93b4kw1oYX0/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h26m35s149.png" width="320" /></a></div>
There is then a Junior medley that kicks off with <b>MasuRyo </b>singing <i>You & I ~Sono Hi no Tame ni~</i>. Then it is <b>Mis Snow Man </b>with <i>Genkai Meter</i>, followed by <b>Taiga </b>singing <i>Shunkashuto </i>solo. Then it is <i>Mou Tomaranai</i> with <b>MasuRyo </b>and the usual Juniors he is grouped with. <b>MasuRyo </b>is always an interesting Junior to look at when it comes to how flaky seeming promotion can be for Juniors. He gets this huge push around this time to disappear for a while before getting pushed again more recently. It feels like <b>Johnny's </b>is not sure what to do with him, as they do not seem to be able to think of anything more than pushing him based on his singing.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NbNDs-kE8AI/UrZ5Zy--sfI/AAAAAAAAV3g/DGmd9TFLTLk/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h30m32s228.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NbNDs-kE8AI/UrZ5Zy--sfI/AAAAAAAAV3g/DGmd9TFLTLk/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h30m32s228.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Some Juniors <b>Johnny's </b>seemed to have much more definite plans for, <b>Nakajima Kento</b>, <b>Kikuchi Fuma</b> and <b>Tanaka Juri</b>, are up next for an MC segment. They do not talk for long as they are mainly there to introduce a VTR segment they did for this episode, Junior Kagai Jyugyo.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1RYohPFNGHw/UrZ6vI0C5cI/AAAAAAAAV3s/UVzBIlgSfXc/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h37m10s114.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1RYohPFNGHw/UrZ6vI0C5cI/AAAAAAAAV3s/UVzBIlgSfXc/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h37m10s114.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The trio are to learn about speaking to help them when they have to do so on programs and at concerts. They have a <i>NHK </i>announcer to give them some tips on the subject that they get to try out. They go over some Japanese grammar, and honestly unless you know some basic Japanese and are interested in learning a bit more about the language this may be a good segment to skip as it is just the boys listening and answering questions.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cy2cBQzyml0/UrZ85-SECyI/AAAAAAAAV34/tei56ytenUE/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h44m08s200.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cy2cBQzyml0/UrZ85-SECyI/AAAAAAAAV34/tei56ytenUE/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h44m08s200.png" width="320" /></a></div>
We go back to a letter exchange with <b>Senga Kento</b> and <b>Miyata Toshiya</b>. While the split with <b>Kis-My-Ft2</b> is there these little things like having those of the back four get to do something like this where they are in the spotlight made it bearable. It is partly why I hope <b>Busaiku </b>continues past the one single as it is giving <b>s-My-2</b> that something.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bQioVbtVDiw/UrZ-qHgphdI/AAAAAAAAV4E/mJlbVK5jJAU/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h54m28s242.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bQioVbtVDiw/UrZ-qHgphdI/AAAAAAAAV4E/mJlbVK5jJAU/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h54m28s242.png" width="320" /></a></div>
One would not think this based on which songs have been released on CD from their Junior days, but <b>Tamamori Yuta</b> does actually have solo songs. He performs his first one,<i> Tsong1 ~CAN TRY~</i>, and while he hardly has one of my favorite voices he is far from one the worst. If anything it is on the thin side so it lacks power behind it so it is better suited to be mixed with a stronger voice like it usually is with the group songs.<br />
<b><br /></b>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CQsxS6CjtiQ/UrZ_VsebMCI/AAAAAAAAV4M/uxi6zCufUvw/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h56m43s54.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CQsxS6CjtiQ/UrZ_VsebMCI/AAAAAAAAV4M/uxi6zCufUvw/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-00h56m43s54.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Kisumai </b>does come on to perform a group song, <i>Hair</i>. And if there needs to be a sign that this group is on the rise the fact that they perform the full song and not just a portion of it right after <b>Tamamori </b>did his solo is a good one. The group is easily getting the most screen time and that should not change for some time as they get closer and closer to debut.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AAxdzgNTR6E/UraA2tjDR_I/AAAAAAAAV4Y/snAIqTK5m18/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-01h03m41s123.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AAxdzgNTR6E/UraA2tjDR_I/AAAAAAAAV4Y/snAIqTK5m18/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-22-01h03m41s123.png" width="320" /></a></div>
With that over there is only the final song to perform to wrap up the November episodes. I am sure since it was announced that the theme of the episode was Yuuki that readers may be wondering when <i>Yuuki 100%</i> was going to be performed. Wonder no more as here it is at the end and they do make sure to have all the younger Juniors in this, which means this was taped out of order. They also seem to have cleaned up the audio quite a bit as you can barely hear the audience in it.<br />
<br />
<br />
This is a solid episode though it does seem off to have <b>A.B.C-Z</b> missing and I am interested in learning some more Japanese. It is nice to have things mixed up a bit though. After watching so many episodes it is nice to see things being changed up a bit at this point as it was getting a bit stale.<br />
<br />
And with this only two more episodes before I reach 2010, as there is no Christmas special for 2009.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-86197475567242752382013-12-20T01:17:00.003-05:002013-12-20T01:17:40.246-05:00Ai-ai can't believe HSJ is releasing a new singleI think I am still in shock about this but <b>Hey! Say! JUMP</b> is already lined up to release a new single before their latest one, <i>Ride With Me</i>, is released. On February 5th of next year they will release a double A-side single titled <i>AinoArika/Aisureba Motto Happy Life</i>. The track <i>AinoArika </i>will be the theme song for the drama <i>Dark System Koi no Oza Ketteisen</i>, which <b>Yaotome Hikaru</b> and <b>Inoo Kei </b>will be in.<br />

<br /></div>
<div>
The single comes in four different editions, three limited editions and one regular edition. There is also a bundle of all four singles.</div>

<br />
I am still pretty shocked about this news. I had hoped that we would get a new <b>HSJ </b>single in the first half of 2014 and hopefully a new album but I would not have expected one so soon. But I am quite happy as it is about time <b>HSJ </b>did something to make up for their weird release schedule. I do hope this means that my wish for a new album this year will happen, and honestly with this release being a double A-side they could release an album after this. And if they have a tour in the summer it would be perfect. But I feel like I am getting ahead of myself here. I think for now I will just bask in the joy that <b>HSJ </b>may release more than one single for two years in a row.</div>

<br />
With that done here is the next question by an Anonymous reader: <span style="background-color: #fefdfa; color: #333333; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">any thoughts on why jticket international has been inactive in ticket request? do you think it has something to do with management shake-up? I mean, the ohp has gone bilingual(some jnet movies are even subtitled) yet no means to get tickets from the overseas end, not even for stage plays. its not like we visit japan all year round, one unhappy fan!</span><br />
<br />
I noticed the lack of tickets this year too, though honestly I cannot say what the actual reason for it is. That is something only the management knows and we all know how tight lipped they can be for just about anything.<br />
<br />
My only guess could be was that it may not have been used much by international fans, or that it proved too be too much of a hassle to do. I do recall that there were additional steps to the process that seemed like a pain. Or perhaps a mix of both and Johnny's just did not see why they should continue. If this is the case the best thing to do is to contact Johnny's and request for the service to return. I am sure if they get enough requests they may open it again.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-76719762640851267532013-12-18T10:28:00.000-05:002013-12-18T10:28:32.855-05:00The Shounen Club 1 November 2009 reviewAnd it looks like we finally have the members of <i>Snow Prince Gasshoudan</i> gathered as a news group of tiny Juniors come in.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rPjrR7iKRio/Uq9Ld7UYruI/AAAAAAAAVyQ/GQyeLHolTBU/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-16-13h49m59s146.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rPjrR7iKRio/Uq9Ld7UYruI/AAAAAAAAVyQ/GQyeLHolTBU/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-16-13h49m59s146.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Like the previous episode this one has some of the usual things changed up. The first of these is that <b>Arioka Daiki</b> is there at the start of the program to introduce all the Juniors and the hosts while performing the opening song, <i>Can do! Can go!</i><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XwTlimWeksM/Uq9L5aWuoXI/AAAAAAAAVyc/6ooDOtjNyHo/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-16-13h51m38s123.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XwTlimWeksM/Uq9L5aWuoXI/AAAAAAAAVyc/6ooDOtjNyHo/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-16-13h51m38s123.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AglxafeUtR4/Uq9L5W_XJZI/AAAAAAAAVyY/aeG_qSEjoMY/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-16-13h51m59s67.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AglxafeUtR4/Uq9L5W_XJZI/AAAAAAAAVyY/aeG_qSEjoMY/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-16-13h51m59s67.png" width="320" /></a></div>
We get a glimpse of the <i>Snow Prince Gasshoudan</i> line up with all the tiny Juniors in it, which means pretty much all the Juniors older than <b>Morimoto Shintaro</b> are out.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JqOihp9jSHM/Uq9NgT7HCMI/AAAAAAAAVy0/ER9ruHKLKEw/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-16-13h59m01s182.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JqOihp9jSHM/Uq9NgT7HCMI/AAAAAAAAVy0/ER9ruHKLKEw/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-16-13h59m01s182.png" width="320" /></a></div>
And instead of going into the standard episode introduction and reveal about the theme of the episode the guest of the episode, <b>Takizawa Hideaki</b>, is introduced and he performs a song, <i>Hikari Hitotsu</i>. Since <b>A.B.C-Z</b> is missing for the episode he has <b>Mis Snow Man</b> and <b>Kis-My-Ft2</b> back dance for him in this performance.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TE4v1pWXXsE/Uq9ORYvyCzI/AAAAAAAAVy8/TG2dZZcg64w/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-16-14h00m58s98.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TE4v1pWXXsE/Uq9ORYvyCzI/AAAAAAAAVy8/TG2dZZcg64w/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-16-14h00m58s98.png" width="320" /></a></div>
We then get that usual introduction talk and <b>Kitayama Hiromitsu</b> gets to introduce the theme of the episode, Color. He asks <b>Koyama Keiichiro</b> and <b>Nakamaru Yuichi </b>about their image colors and <b>Koyama </b>brings up his is purple and <b>Nakamaru </b>avoids answering.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ua2_p91iLuA/Uq9PLT15MLI/AAAAAAAAVzE/rGLWY4CVOf8/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-16-14h04m18s44.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ua2_p91iLuA/Uq9PLT15MLI/AAAAAAAAVzE/rGLWY4CVOf8/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-16-14h04m18s44.png" width="320" /></a></div>
This is followed by <b>B.I.Shadow</b> performing <i>NYC </i>and <i>Lalalila</i>. The group is really coming along now, especially since <b>Kochi Yugo</b> is much more comfortable on stage and is showing signs of improvement from how he was even just a month ago. No surprise there though as they had been performing quite a lot to promote the <i>NYC </i>boys single.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lkRwK5VFmw4/Uq9Q-iWMC-I/AAAAAAAAVzQ/0AyQ57qgTkQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-16-14h07m16s27.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lkRwK5VFmw4/Uq9Q-iWMC-I/AAAAAAAAVzQ/0AyQ57qgTkQ/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-16-14h07m16s27.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The following MC is with a few Juniors, though only two of the three are still with <b>Johnny's</b>. <b>Shintaro </b>of course gets the main focus as he has a movie that he is starring in to promote, <i>Snow Prince</i>. <b>Arioka </b>gets a turn to talk and he brings up that <b>Hey! Say! JUMP</b> do not have image colors but since they need to be able to tell their mics apart during concerts they janken for which member gets what color. They do ask which colors the little Juniors like and <b>Shintaro </b>answers with black and <b>Tanaka Juri</b> with yellow (which was the image color for his brother <b>Tanaka Koki</b>).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o5fBeQ39fjY/UrE0fmPkOoI/AAAAAAAAVzg/TLPxLri8H8U/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-00h36m35s230.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o5fBeQ39fjY/UrE0fmPkOoI/AAAAAAAAVzg/TLPxLri8H8U/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-00h36m35s230.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The next performance is introduced as a <b>Morimoto Shintaro</b> medley. We do get a new song <b>Shintaro </b>has not performed yet on <i>Shounen Club</i>, <i>STAY HOPEFUL</i>. It's lack of performances is probably for the best unless you like the vocaloid sound. But there is another song, <i>Chou</i>, which is a more cool song, like in the lines of <i>Bitter Moon</i>, which helps make up for that first song. I would like to see this song performed again, if not by <b>Shintaro </b>I would be happy with any of the Juniors. And the medley is closed out with <i>Bitter Moon</i>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-weOFVGcsVMU/UrE1llkTWjI/AAAAAAAAVzo/gUPAkBWdB9o/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-00h39m02s214.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-weOFVGcsVMU/UrE1llkTWjI/AAAAAAAAVzo/gUPAkBWdB9o/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-00h39m02s214.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Butokan </b>is still around for this episode, though they are missing a couple of members. They talk about image colors and <b>Yara Tomoyuki </b>picks grey. <b>Senga Kento</b> brings up gold while <b>Yamamoto Ryota</b> is told by <b>Yara </b>he would fit silver.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DDdsa0uMlxY/UrE4EvBb3lI/AAAAAAAAVz0/S7N95tr0h_8/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-00h51m20s168.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DDdsa0uMlxY/UrE4EvBb3lI/AAAAAAAAVz0/S7N95tr0h_8/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-00h51m20s168.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The group performs <i>C=Normal</i> after a long dance introduction and honestly it feels off to me. <b>Hamanaka Bunichi</b>'s vocals are sorely missed as <b>Yara </b>just does not fill that spot in the group well but being the lead of the group he is the one made to pick up on the vocals with <b>Bunichi </b>gone and for this performance is basically the sole vocals as <b>Senga </b>only has a head mic and <b>Yamamoto </b>none at all.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yQbUfZ3lm2g/UrE5o7fOvvI/AAAAAAAAV0A/C3lrMUTI8nc/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-00h58m45s0.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yQbUfZ3lm2g/UrE5o7fOvvI/AAAAAAAAV0A/C3lrMUTI8nc/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-00h58m45s0.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The You no Otegami Yomitai Desu! segment is next and is hosted by <b>Fujigaya Taisuke</b>, <b>Kitayama</b>, <b>Tamamori Yuta</b>, <b>Nakajima Kento</b> and <b>Yugo</b>. Or <b>Kitayama </b>and <b>Fujigaya </b>do most of the hosting while the others help answer the questions in the letters they read.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nT_djmnjhsY/UrE7GUB7-nI/AAAAAAAAV0M/f7hfDFrNxb0/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-01h04m49s51.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nT_djmnjhsY/UrE7GUB7-nI/AAAAAAAAV0M/f7hfDFrNxb0/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-01h04m49s51.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Kis-My-Ft2</b> are up to perform next and they do what was a new song for the show back then, <i>Tension</i>. This was also the song and performance they did when they got to go on <i>Music Station</i> in the same year. It really puts their roller skating front and center. While they were fine for their <i>MS </i>performance <b>Tamamori </b>manages to mess up here. I would blame the head dress they made him wear for this.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bD3xCbYyjlc/UrE8lDLU4eI/AAAAAAAAV0Y/gnYiqNiX2k0/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-01h11m10s11.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bD3xCbYyjlc/UrE8lDLU4eI/AAAAAAAAV0Y/gnYiqNiX2k0/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-01h11m10s11.png" width="320" /></a></div>
This is followed up by the game segment and this time around the game they are playing is Introdon, which is where they are given only a few seconds of the start of a song and they have to guess the song title as well as who sings it. You just have to be a <b>Johnny's </b>fan to be able to play along with this one.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iDWPW5UAWCs/UrFAOGikpGI/AAAAAAAAV0k/hd5v7dTrx4A/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-01h23m48s183.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iDWPW5UAWCs/UrFAOGikpGI/AAAAAAAAV0k/hd5v7dTrx4A/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-01h23m48s183.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Then it is the Junior ni Q segment with the topic actually tying into the theme of the episode as the Juniors are asked about their favorite color. <b>Yugo </b>is up first to talk about his answer of green.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4vS18j4GUec/UrFA6OCUYLI/AAAAAAAAV0s/0AY1BJ6Lbjk/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-01h29m19s157.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4vS18j4GUec/UrFA6OCUYLI/AAAAAAAAV0s/0AY1BJ6Lbjk/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-01h29m19s157.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Takada Sho</b> is up next with his answer of orange. He explains that he likes the color because it is a one that looks lively. And if I understood the rest he mentioned being in orange for his first main performance on SC.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nLX940ef0Tk/UrFBbZFOj2I/AAAAAAAAV00/A3fm54WtovQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-01h30m48s47.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nLX940ef0Tk/UrFBbZFOj2I/AAAAAAAAV00/A3fm54WtovQ/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-01h30m48s47.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Kyomoto Taiga</b> then gets to be brought over to discuss his answer of purple. He explains that the color brings up his tension levels.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mwvpJFGJ9AY/UrFB-94sH9I/AAAAAAAAV08/mUP5Cs9TnGE/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-01h33m40s218.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mwvpJFGJ9AY/UrFB-94sH9I/AAAAAAAAV08/mUP5Cs9TnGE/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-01h33m40s218.png" width="320" /></a></div>
And finally we have someone from <b>Mis Snow Man</b> get some camera time for this segment with <b>Miyadate Ryota</b> getting called over. He put down red as his favorite color and shows off some bracelets that he always wears that have red in them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GJqehAuWbiA/UrFCyJQLLrI/AAAAAAAAV1I/LFQx6KaLHKY/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-01h36m12s194.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GJqehAuWbiA/UrFCyJQLLrI/AAAAAAAAV1I/LFQx6KaLHKY/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-01h36m12s194.png" width="320" /></a></div>
We finally get an MC segment with the guest for the episode, <b>Tackey</b>. Since he already discussed colors at the start of the episode the topic was instead mainly about his musicals and the work he puts into them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7Lqvhl25V_U/UrG8f6UO-GI/AAAAAAAAV1c/svvPIA5GcRY/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-10h15m25s152.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7Lqvhl25V_U/UrG8f6UO-GI/AAAAAAAAV1c/svvPIA5GcRY/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-10h15m25s152.png" width="320" /></a></div>
He then has his second performance for the episode with a medley starting off with<i> Ai Kakumei </i>then moving into <i>Sha la la</i>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_rrqMJpWEyQ/UrG9seorpeI/AAAAAAAAV1k/G2mHBc0rVBY/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-10h21m22s152.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_rrqMJpWEyQ/UrG9seorpeI/AAAAAAAAV1k/G2mHBc0rVBY/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-18-10h21m22s152.png" width="320" /></a></div>
This leads us to the end of the program. The final song performed is <i>Hitomi o Tojite</i> and it is just the older Juniors performing. <b>Arioka </b>does join them part way in but the stage looks oddly empty without <b>A.B.C-Z</b> around.<br />
<br />
<br />
I cannot recall why <b>A.B.C-Z</b> is missing from this recording. I am sure they were either busy with back dancing for concerts or were doing a play. I do not think they had their own concerts this year, but I could be wrong about that.<br />
<br />
I am pretty certain <b>Arioka </b>helping with the hosting for this episode was a part of the plans of having members of <b>HSJ </b>eventually take over as MCs for the program. When the new season for the show begins in April 2010 they will have an official place as helpers along side <b>Koyama </b>and <b>Nakamaru</b>, which will be the final season those two are the MCs on the program. Looking back the transitions from hosts to hosts for the program do tend to have some easing into the new status quo. This is why if for the April 2014 episodes we no longer have <b>HSJ </b>members as hosts and it is just <b>Sexy Zone</b> and <b>A.B.C-Z</b> doing the hosting duties I would not be surprised in the least.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-45884762628687914472013-12-15T01:12:00.000-05:002013-12-15T01:12:24.003-05:00The Shounen Club 11 October 2009 reviewHad some bad weather that knocked out power for about a couple days at my house so I am afraid I fell behind on the things I had scheduled for the blog. Will be working to catch up, again, so things get posted when they should. Until then things will show up when I can get them up.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UZ77ggJozK0/UqptswZFahI/AAAAAAAAVvo/nCjTMvhdQpM/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-12-21h14m21s178.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UZ77ggJozK0/UqptswZFahI/AAAAAAAAVvo/nCjTMvhdQpM/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-12-21h14m21s178.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Watching the opening performance where everyone gets their introductions as they sing <i>Seishun Amigo</i> it is apparent already that the main groups to be paying attention to are <b>Kis-My-Ft2</b>, <b>A.B.C-Z</b> and <b>B.I.Shadow</b>. The former of course are just the most popular older groups while <b>BIS </b>is getting a lot of promotion, mostly thanks to being included in <b>NYC boys</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-053iNbJNFxs/UqqOZVrt6WI/AAAAAAAAVv4/9PnnIB9p3_s/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-12-23h34m34s107.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-053iNbJNFxs/UqqOZVrt6WI/AAAAAAAAVv4/9PnnIB9p3_s/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-12-23h34m34s107.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The Junior that gets to help introduce the theme of the episode is <b>Akun Igo</b>, who is sadly no longer with the agency. Though I cannot fault him for that as <b>Question?</b> really goes nowhere in the end. But the theme for this episode is Nakama (comrade, friend, co-worker, etc...).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Instead of the usual theme medley the guest of the episode is introduced,<b> Hey! Say! 7</b>. They go ahead and perform their unit song <i>Nounai Dance</i> before moving on to sing <i>Mayonaka no Shadow Boy</i>. The change from the first song to the second is rather jarring as the songs sound so different and there is no lead in from the first song to the second.<br />

The topic that is first brought up for the MC portion with <b>HS7 </b>after this is about <b>Hey! Say! JUMP</b> having their Tokyo Dome concert that year. This of course was a big step for the group as their first Tokyo Dome concert was their debut concert and it was more <b>HSJ </b>with Juniors than a <b>HSJ </b>concert like this second one was.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-C6LqnAU_cz8/Uq07mRQ3-3I/AAAAAAAAVwY/iW5X5ltnlhI/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-00h17m19s134.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-C6LqnAU_cz8/Uq07mRQ3-3I/AAAAAAAAVwY/iW5X5ltnlhI/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-00h17m19s134.png" width="320" /></a></div>
This episode continues to change things up as the next performance starts off by showcasing some of the Juniors who can play instruments. The focus is on the ones that can play piano/keyboard and then<b> Goto Hiromi</b> and his violin. We even get a couple of dancers randomly on stage to perform with <b>Goto</b>'s piece.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9VIIF0vj6EY/Uq0-QlC9b0I/AAAAAAAAVwk/gAkA3z7z_YU/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-00h28m38s18.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9VIIF0vj6EY/Uq0-QlC9b0I/AAAAAAAAVwk/gAkA3z7z_YU/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-00h28m38s18.png" width="320" /></a></div>
This segues nicely into <b>Snow Prince Gasshoudan</b>'s performance of <i>Bitter Moon</i> with the start of that song being instrumental. I do like the use of the conductor sticks in the choreography, though it does partly seem that they were included to give the Juniors a prop to be focused on instead of their lack of dancing at parts. With a group of so many young Juniors though I think it is forgivable.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yRJ4Rkv1u04/Uq0_ViTaFHI/AAAAAAAAVws/bsmTiqxAJdY/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-00h33m53s111.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yRJ4Rkv1u04/Uq0_ViTaFHI/AAAAAAAAVws/bsmTiqxAJdY/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-00h33m53s111.png" width="320" /></a></div>
There is then a letter exchange segment with two members of <b>Question?</b> Only <b>Ishigaki Daisuke</b> is still in <b>Johnny's </b>now sadly.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZM0ytZPK62Q/Uq1AVd7wnTI/AAAAAAAAVw0/Qey53poPHIw/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-00h38m21s231.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZM0ytZPK62Q/Uq1AVd7wnTI/AAAAAAAAVw0/Qey53poPHIw/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-00h38m21s231.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The nice thing about <b>Goto </b>being in <b>Question?</b> now is that the band gets two new songs that I absolutely love. The first being <i>FROZEN SKY</i> and the other being <i>Beast Soul</i>, both which are performed by the group in this episode.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZTtiRaIEUUw/Uq1BM3b82gI/AAAAAAAAVw8/sDee7M-VDgo/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-00h42m00s75.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZTtiRaIEUUw/Uq1BM3b82gI/AAAAAAAAVw8/sDee7M-VDgo/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-00h42m00s75.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The game segment is the return of the - o Abake segment, this time featuring<b> Kis-My-Ft2</b>. <b>Kisumai </b>is definitely a group well worth doing this for as they are a group comfortable enough to poke fun of each other. They are a lively bunch as most do not even bother to wait for <b>Koyama Keiichiro </b>or <b>Nakamaru Yuichi </b>to tap them for their turn to speak up. It is a must watch for fans of the group, especially if you can find the subbed clip of it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gVH6_pO7xpU/Uq1DFor8mhI/AAAAAAAAVxI/o_Qa35R2_jo/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-00h47m17s217.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gVH6_pO7xpU/Uq1DFor8mhI/AAAAAAAAVxI/o_Qa35R2_jo/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-00h47m17s217.png" width="320" /></a></div>
This is followed with a Gekkan KoyaMaru segment with <b>Nakamaru </b>showing off his pictures. He went with the theme of "pet" so he got to show off his two dogs.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KwuGWStxPnA/Uq1D9xGbgQI/AAAAAAAAVxQ/bRvfD18uwkI/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-00h52m38s90.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KwuGWStxPnA/Uq1D9xGbgQI/AAAAAAAAVxQ/bRvfD18uwkI/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-00h52m38s90.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Kisumai </b>are then up to perform and they do <i>Inori</i>. While they have had the song for a while they have changed up the choreography for it and added props, also <b>Tamamori Yuta</b> is moved to a center position even though the solo lines have not changed so he still has none.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-w8dgyONXpqM/Uq1EyaviGII/AAAAAAAAVxc/Y1kwAqHFmTI/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-00h55m51s235.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-w8dgyONXpqM/Uq1EyaviGII/AAAAAAAAVxc/Y1kwAqHFmTI/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-00h55m51s235.png" width="320" /></a></div>
While we get to see Kansai Juniors in the VTR segment it is the dengonban thing that I continue to dislike. I will note that <b>Kamiyama Tomohiro</b> seems to have grown a lot in the past couple of years as he seems to be in the awkward teens here.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ob2cFz9oYt8/Uq1FlEw-HbI/AAAAAAAAVxk/1WHsT0v9J_A/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-01h00m32s184.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ob2cFz9oYt8/Uq1FlEw-HbI/AAAAAAAAVxk/1WHsT0v9J_A/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-01h00m32s184.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>A.B.C-Z </b>get an MC and they answer a letter asking for examples of other poses that would be interesting to do for a photo. Of course we get plenty of examples from the members of the group for this.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-38RVmKwBlIA/Uq1GVuA-Y_I/AAAAAAAAVxw/uc_UlFmNut4/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-01h03m56s208.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-38RVmKwBlIA/Uq1GVuA-Y_I/AAAAAAAAVxw/uc_UlFmNut4/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-01h03m56s208.png" width="320" /></a></div>
With the MC we do get a performance from the group as well. After a dance intro they perform their ballad <i>Ashita no Tame ni Boku ga Iru</i>. It is nice to see the group change things up like this and have a number that they do not rely on their acrobatics so much to stand out.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AE1TsJgJHIY/Uq1HRm0wZsI/AAAAAAAAVx4/M8xk9Q2dEGQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-01h08m00s95.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AE1TsJgJHIY/Uq1HRm0wZsI/AAAAAAAAVx4/M8xk9Q2dEGQ/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-01h08m00s95.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Another thing to set this episode apart from the usual is that instead of having an quick MC with <b>Koyama </b>and <b>Nakamaru </b>between the second to last and last performance of the show both just merge into each other. The first song is <i>Can do! Can go!</i> and is performed some of the younger older Juniors, or more specific with <b>EbiKisu</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1gZVr8Qo1rY/Uq1HkxjrCVI/AAAAAAAAVyA/lhENUZEyp8A/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-01h09m16s83.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1gZVr8Qo1rY/Uq1HkxjrCVI/AAAAAAAAVyA/lhENUZEyp8A/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-15-01h09m16s83.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>EbiKisu </b>show up for the second song, <i>REAL DX</i>. <b>Koyama </b>and <b>Nakamaru </b>also join the Juniors in the final performance to make it stand out even more.<br />
<br />
<br />
With the episodes for this month over things look like they are set for the coming years for the most part. The groups getting promoted now are pretty much the same groups that will continue getting promoted for the next couple of years.<br />
<br />
I am enjoying hearing the songs I loved from this time being performed again, though most I do have CD versions of now. It makes me wish <b>Johnny's </b>would go back to doing Junior groups again so we can have others follow in the paths of <b>EbiKisu</b>.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-84370693328059586022013-12-13T22:34:00.000-05:002013-12-13T22:34:50.316-05:00Bad Boys J final impressionsIt took me much longer to get through this drama than I had expected, partly because I did not have as much time and partly because it lost my interest. But I am done with it now and ready to see about starting off something new.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-n8Q8qv0wHp0/UqP2nfHofLI/AAAAAAAAVuo/oYhR6XAFscI/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-05-23h38m56s65.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-n8Q8qv0wHp0/UqP2nfHofLI/AAAAAAAAVuo/oYhR6XAFscI/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-05-23h38m56s65.png" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Would be better if the series was about this.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
While there were fun little moments here and there overall the series frustrated me. I hate to compare it to <i>Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou</i><b> </b>but it hard not to as they are both in the same genre, but <i>BBJ </i>seems to lack the focus of <i>Bakaleya</i>. With <i>Bakaleya </i>the story firmly centered around the conflict of the two schools being merged in contrast with <i>BBJ </i>which began as a fish out of water type character that accidentally becomes the head of a delinquent gang starts meandering once that is set up.<br />
<br />
Perhaps if the series focused on <b>Kiriki Tsukasa</b> (<b>Nakajima Kento</b>) finding a reason to be leader while having to prove his worth to his group much more before even thinking of bringing in all the gang war plots it would have come out stronger. The way the group just accepted <b>Kiriki </b>as leader did not seem believable at all and the progression for <b>Kiriki </b>to become someone who could be a leader was sloppy and made little sense.<br />
<br />
Again though the series did have its moments in each episode, just as a whole it failed to give a fully coherent story.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GSItMdfo_zk/UqP2pJh007I/AAAAAAAAVvE/TV21Icp6uwo/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-05-23h46m20s165.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GSItMdfo_zk/UqP2pJh007I/AAAAAAAAVvE/TV21Icp6uwo/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-05-23h46m20s165.png" width="320" /></a></div>
After it is all said and done I guess I am glad that <b>Nakaken </b>got his chance to be a lead in a drama. I just wish it could have been a much better one. I think he did his best, or at least followed what the director told him, for it, but an actor can only do so much with a bad character. <b>Kiriki </b>had his characterization all over the place at sometimes having to be a lovelorn wimp when the story called for it, having to play the badass when the story called for it and having to be the passionate shounen manga hero when the story called for it. And having the story dictate what a character should be is a good way to make a weak one.<br />
<br />
At least he already has moved on to a lead movie role after this and hopefully it makes much better use of his acting skills than this.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wDGEfanajqc/UqP2n13xRZI/AAAAAAAAVuw/b3eo-qoVHzc/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-05-23h40m21s150.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wDGEfanajqc/UqP2n13xRZI/AAAAAAAAVuw/b3eo-qoVHzc/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-05-23h40m21s150.png" width="320" /></a></div>
I cannot say I was impressed with <b>Nikaido Takashi</b>'s acting but I cannot say it was bad either. There was just way too little he had to work with in the role as the only emotions <b>Danno Hidenori</b> ever expressed where looking badass and angry.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5xABJVZFCbc/UqP2pd2mfQI/AAAAAAAAVvI/gk5bPNl6ie0/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-05-23h47m04s81.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5xABJVZFCbc/UqP2pd2mfQI/AAAAAAAAVvI/gk5bPNl6ie0/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-05-23h47m04s81.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Poor <b>Hashimoto Ryosuke</b>. While it has been nice to see him get acting jobs he seems to have a tendency to end up in bad dramas. First <i>Sprout </i>and now this. He is one of the highlights of both but I do not want to sit through another drama of those levels to see him act in something again.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Kzo6SIxSzhU/UqP2p8sY0lI/AAAAAAAAVvQ/2GeANTk6UqY/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-05-23h48m31s156.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Kzo6SIxSzhU/UqP2p8sY0lI/AAAAAAAAVvQ/2GeANTk6UqY/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-05-23h48m31s156.png" width="320" /></a></div>
I am glad to know that <b>Iwamoto Hikaru</b> is getting another chance of being in a drama with the upcoming <i>SHARK </i>being the 2014 winter season drama for this time slot. I really want to see him do more acting and I hope his next role will be something more interesting and demanding than <b>Kawanaka Yoji</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5jecZkpIKZM/UqP2nhp9g9I/AAAAAAAAVus/LctL0B0hISw/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-05-23h41m24s27.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5jecZkpIKZM/UqP2nhp9g9I/AAAAAAAAVus/LctL0B0hISw/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-05-23h41m24s27.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Sato Erika</b> (<b>Triendl Reina</b>) is easily my favorite character of this whole drama. If there is anything disappointing with her character it is the same for all the female characters in the series, that they are all underwritten. Also what is the point of having female members of the gangs if they are not going to do any fighting themselves? I think I have been spoiled by Western media when it comes to the treatment of women, even though even there things are far from perfect. But I do not see how it could have hurt of have the female gang members be more than arm candy for the male members. <b>Erika </b>got to do a bit more than that, which is probably why I loved her so much.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GI6p4qyAYlY/UqP2ojaldEI/AAAAAAAAVvA/J6KW-TF1OfU/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-05-23h43m51s190.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GI6p4qyAYlY/UqP2ojaldEI/AAAAAAAAVvA/J6KW-TF1OfU/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-05-23h43m51s190.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Talking about bad female characters, <b>Yoshimoto Kumi</b> (<b>Hashimoto Nanami</b>), has to be one of the most bland female leads I have seen in a drama. There is nothing to her outside of being nice and <b>Kiriki</b>'s love interest. If a character has to be defined by their relationship to another character than that is a strong sign that you do not have much a character. Since she had no real agency of her own her choices in the drama never made a lot of sense when compared to actions she did before. It was just so hard to care for her or the relationship between her and <b>Kiriki </b>as it all felt so shallow.<br />
<br />
<br />
This drama just makes me feel frustrated over all. There was promise with it when it was first starting out but instead of ironing out the issues those early episodes had they just expanded on them.<br />
<br />
At least with <i>Sprout </i>I knew I was going to get something I would not enjoy and I could have some fun with it. With <i>BBJ </i>I thought I would be able to enjoy it but just ended up more and more frustrated with it as I had to search harder and harder for those little things that I did like.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-32375858126577844682013-12-07T23:30:00.000-05:002013-12-07T23:30:00.426-05:00The Shounen Club 4 October 2009 reviewThis month gives us the return of <b>Hip Hop Jump</b> as the younger Juniors get shuffled a bit.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lM7QqRk7Tas/UqLpJdhO-cI/AAAAAAAAVrY/rfGjY9DzTI4/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-04h22m53s187.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lM7QqRk7Tas/UqLpJdhO-cI/AAAAAAAAVrY/rfGjY9DzTI4/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-04h22m53s187.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The program kicks off with a performance by the guests of the episode,<b> NYC boys</b> (but minus the N as I can only assume <b>Nakayama Yuma</b> is busy with filming for his drama). But with the missing member it seems like the <b>boys </b>part of the group got a bit more attention than usual for the performance.<br />

The group get to introduce the theme of the episode, or at least <b>Yamada Ryosuke </b>and <b>Chinen Yuri</b> do as the other four just stand there. But the theme is Ai (Love) and no time is wasted to start off the theme medley for it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QhLRJMgF-GM/UqNnF1HvgrI/AAAAAAAAVrw/MUeHuoLQiXQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-13h20m51s174.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QhLRJMgF-GM/UqNnF1HvgrI/AAAAAAAAVrw/MUeHuoLQiXQ/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-13h20m51s174.png" width="320" /></a></div>
A couple things to note is that the grouping of Juniors around <b>Kyomoto Taiga </b>is now with <b>Kawashima Noeru</b>, <b>Anderson Casey</b> and <b>Yasui Kentaro</b>. This is notable if just because it will mean that it will be more common to see <b>Noeru </b>and <b>Yasui </b>on the program as they are now a part of <b>Kyomoto</b>'s group, as <b>Kyomoto </b>keeps a small but regular presence on the program.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ISPk0ATRYcs/UqNnd1KCtiI/AAAAAAAAVr4/_Ga5iGoVRHE/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-13h22m18s0.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ISPk0ATRYcs/UqNnd1KCtiI/AAAAAAAAVr4/_Ga5iGoVRHE/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-13h22m18s0.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Hip Hop Jump</b> is up to five members again, this time the group consists of <b>Tanaka Juri</b>, <b>Hagiya Keigo</b>, <b>Jesse</b>, <b>Morita Myuto</b> and <b>Morohoshi Shoki</b> if I am not mistaken. (None of them get individual name tags on the screen in the episode.) <b>Myuto </b>is the one I am most iffy on as I am terrible with faces and names and I know he is not in the final line-up of the group. But with <b>HHJ </b>finally appearing on the show again and how much the members of the group seemed to change I would not be surprised if I am right about him being there and he is just going to be taken out when they add the two members that will make for the group's final line-up.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ewjKN0zwFas/UqNrZOZmhzI/AAAAAAAAVsE/WrMm17u6JoU/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-13h35m19s148.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ewjKN0zwFas/UqNrZOZmhzI/AAAAAAAAVsE/WrMm17u6JoU/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-13h35m19s148.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The following MC is with <b>NYC boys</b> but it is still basically <b>Yamada </b>and <b>Chinen </b>doing all the talking. <b>Yamada </b>talks about love familial love, bringing up the fact that he did a drama SP about family with <b>Nishikido Ryo</b>. Then <b>Chinen </b>gets to fanboy as he talks about his love for <b>Ohno Satoshi</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-037CHcvT1SQ/UqPnN0RuFkI/AAAAAAAAVsU/DPHJn07xSDo/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-22h26m32s168.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-037CHcvT1SQ/UqPnN0RuFkI/AAAAAAAAVsU/DPHJn07xSDo/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-22h26m32s168.png" width="320" /></a></div>
We then get more <b>Masuda Ryo</b> promotion as he leads the next medley, which is an English oldies song medley basically with the Juniors singing <i>Can't take my eyes off you</i> (which they use the Japanese title for even though they sing only in English) and<i> Dancing Queen</i>. But for the first song it is <b>Masuda </b>with his usual grouping then for the second we get some mixed-ethnicity Juniors, so some extra screen time for <b>Anderson </b>and <b>Jesse </b>with this.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hWq2j52tSv4/UqPoKBgjO3I/AAAAAAAAVsc/rEE_zOvx4Q4/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-22h30m59s10.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hWq2j52tSv4/UqPoKBgjO3I/AAAAAAAAVsc/rEE_zOvx4Q4/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-22h30m59s10.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Up next is the You no Otegami Yomitai Desu! segment, which is hosted by<b> Fujigaya Taisuke</b> this episode. He is joined by <b>Butokan </b>(which I guess is lasting longer than I thought they did) and he gets to read a fan letter for the group and they talk about people they see as the big brother type for them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9owFkOjq95Y/UqPpvzmdRZI/AAAAAAAAVso/ua9xABruNWI/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-22h38m24s94.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9owFkOjq95Y/UqPpvzmdRZI/AAAAAAAAVso/ua9xABruNWI/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-22h38m24s94.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Butokan </b>then perform a medley of their songs. In a way I kinda wish this group was still around as some kind of side group as they did work well and they were fun to watch, plus none of the debuted members seem to have schedules that could be busy enough not to be able to fit something for the group in each year. Or at least <i>Johnny's Countdown</i> appearances.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-G1ZEtmXXC-k/UqPqkg1BXhI/AAAAAAAAVsw/XJxIuF-nWZg/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-22h41m08s199.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-G1ZEtmXXC-k/UqPqkg1BXhI/AAAAAAAAVsw/XJxIuF-nWZg/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-22h41m08s199.png" width="320" /></a></div>
The game segment features the dance game that each participant does a dance move and the next one has to do it than add on a new one. <b>Yamada </b>and <b>Chinen </b>get to play the game so we lack the variety of Juniors we had last time. <b>Hashimoto Ryosuke</b> is fun to watch in this and it is hard to believe that he is the same age as <b>Yamada </b>and <b>Chinen</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0yx0j-HrrpU/UqPrgYSetFI/AAAAAAAAVs8/heaP5OugvaQ/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-22h43m40s199.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0yx0j-HrrpU/UqPrgYSetFI/AAAAAAAAVs8/heaP5OugvaQ/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-22h43m40s199.png" width="320" /></a></div>
This is followed by an MC with <b>Kis-My-Ft2</b>. The 3/4 split of the group is already in affect now, but of course it is not so bad as everyone has matching outfits so they look like they are indeed back of the same group. <b>Kitayama Hiromitsu</b> talks about loving animals and <b>Tamamori Yuta</b> talks about the love between group members and gives an example with <b>Yokoo Wataru</b>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5YLqX7lNR9s/UqPsVh1IuRI/AAAAAAAAVtE/6pIRMF3QjKg/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-22h48m47s191.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5YLqX7lNR9s/UqPsVh1IuRI/AAAAAAAAVtE/6pIRMF3QjKg/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-22h48m47s191.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Kisumai </b>then performs a new song for the show, <i>Ame</i>, which is slow tempo song. I have always loved the song and honestly the unit songs the group gets around this time are all great. There may be little in the way of choreography for this song but instead it focuses more on the vocals with moments in the song where there is little use of instruments and must rely on the vocals.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DDVc-lQaZsA/UqPuEEuZfJI/AAAAAAAAVtQ/LV0iB0E0qQo/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-22h56m42s84.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DDVc-lQaZsA/UqPuEEuZfJI/AAAAAAAAVtQ/LV0iB0E0qQo/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-22h56m42s84.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Junior ni Q is up next and the topic is about the season of autumn/fall. <b>Nakajima Kento</b> is up first and his answer was about writing song lyrics. He even gets to read some lyrics that he wrote.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BosqLj2lAKQ/UqPuyluaJFI/AAAAAAAAVtY/aLSl21T8IBk/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-22h59m44s109.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BosqLj2lAKQ/UqPuyluaJFI/AAAAAAAAVtY/aLSl21T8IBk/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-22h59m44s109.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Kawai Fumito</b> is up next and he talks about the changes in clothes fashion for the fall season. He surprisingly does not talk for very long for his turn.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vXia7mCATAQ/UqPvOsLJ1GI/AAAAAAAAVtg/5o6EAFRepC0/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-23h01m01s109.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vXia7mCATAQ/UqPvOsLJ1GI/AAAAAAAAVtg/5o6EAFRepC0/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-23h01m01s109.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Following him is <b>Kurita Kei</b>, one of the few younger Juniors I know is still with the agency. He talks about playing sports for the season.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-555THS5r4GE/UqPvxJT1IYI/AAAAAAAAVto/jHScfm3lXpU/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-23h03m10s121.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-555THS5r4GE/UqPvxJT1IYI/AAAAAAAAVto/jHScfm3lXpU/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-23h03m10s121.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>Yokoo Wataru</b> is called over next and he talks about taking walks during the season. <b>Nakamaru Yuichi </b>comments that it does not seem to be the kind of thing people would assume he would do.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7ByXM15IGT0/UqPweZgjxmI/AAAAAAAAVtw/kqnTdXjcOZo/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-23h06m24s3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7ByXM15IGT0/UqPweZgjxmI/AAAAAAAAVtw/kqnTdXjcOZo/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-23h06m24s3.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Next is <b>Kochi Yugo</b>. He is so quiet though, which is probably mostly camera shy-ness. He talks about dancing and wanting to get better at it soon.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZU_Z-qEhUQs/UqPxiWEWbiI/AAAAAAAAVuA/Tqps2jM0bzc/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-23h11m36s34.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZU_Z-qEhUQs/UqPxiWEWbiI/AAAAAAAAVuA/Tqps2jM0bzc/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-23h11m36s34.png" width="320" /></a></div>
Then all of <b>Question?</b> is brought over to talk about their answers as they all ended up being similar. With this is is confirmed that <b>Goto Hiromi</b> is a part of the group as he is with them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HIfY8YaymYg/UqPyXuLhNPI/AAAAAAAAVuI/asddYLqvkQs/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-23h14m41s90.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HIfY8YaymYg/UqPyXuLhNPI/AAAAAAAAVuI/asddYLqvkQs/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-23h14m41s90.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>A.B.C-Z</b> is then up to have an MC segment. We get to see a baby photo of <b>Kawai </b>then pictures of all the older members of the group when they were little Juniors. I think it is easy to forget that all four joined <b>Johnny's </b>when they were pretty young sometimes and these are a good reminder of how long they have been around.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W8BVmIVPPQE/UqPzscxG4wI/AAAAAAAAVuU/zOCURRHxSx8/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-23h19m36s245.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W8BVmIVPPQE/UqPzscxG4wI/AAAAAAAAVuU/zOCURRHxSx8/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-23h19m36s245.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<b>NYC boys</b> is up next though, starting with <b>Yamada </b>and <b>Chinen </b>doing solo songs before being joined by the rest of the group to perform <i>Dial Up</i>. And I honestly thought <b>Kikuchi Fuma</b>'s habit of making strange faces when performing was only a recent thing but this performance proves me wrong as he is doing it here as well. I really want to know why he does this as it makes him look so goofy and strange.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Z_BNoM809yg/UqP09xI5QtI/AAAAAAAAVuc/WEzEjxKzmBM/s1600/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-23h25m34s253.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Z_BNoM809yg/UqP09xI5QtI/AAAAAAAAVuc/WEzEjxKzmBM/s320/vlcsnap-2013-12-07-23h25m34s253.png" width="320" /></a></div>
It is then time for the final song of the show, which is <i>Wana</i>. It is rather nice to see these older songs getting brought back for the Juniors to perform on the show again. The stage is beginning to look really crowded these days, though this is the end song that has both the younger and older Juniors performing so it is not all that surprising, especially with groups being created for the younger Juniors.<br />
<br />
<br />
So with this episode we are getting closer to how the Juniors were when <b>Sexy Zone</b> debuted. Just need <b>Snow Prince Gasshoudan</b> and <b>HHJ </b>to get their final line-ups and then <b>JaPAnese Hi!</b> needs to happen, which actually is not too far off now that I am almost done with the 2009 episodes. Even though debuts will not happen until 2011 I am feeling pretty excited for them as I know that they will happen, instead of hoping or guessing that they will.<br />
<br />
And one thing I enjoy with going through these episodes again is seeing things happen and knowing about how they will pan out. It puts the episodes into a different light and allows you to notice things you may have not thought twice about when you watched it when it was new.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8288379594771552770.post-75117941894416517822013-12-05T23:31:00.002-05:002013-12-05T23:31:46.985-05:00Kis-My-Snow DomeAs expected, <b>Kis-My-Ft2</b> will not be leaving fans waiting long for the DVD release for their latest dome concert, <i>SNOW DOME no Yakusoku IN TOKYO DOME 2013.11.16</i>. The DVD will be released next year on January 29th and will come in two editions.<br />
<br />
The regular edition is just the concert and the listing mentions it should be about 30 tracks long.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/aff/click.cgi/e86NDzbdSLQ/740/A607011/detailview.html?KEY=AVBD-92104" target="_blank">SNOW DOME no Yakusoku IN TOKYO DOME 2013.11.16 [Regular Edition] / Kis-My-Ft2</a>
</div>
<br />
The limited edition will come with a bonus disc that will have footage from their concerts at Yokohama Arena from the concert tour they did earlier in the year, <i>Good Live Tour Ikuze!</i> It will also come with a photo booklet with images from the concerts.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/aff/click.cgi/e86NDzbdSLQ/740/A607011/detailview.html?KEY=AVBD-92103" target="_blank">SNOW DOME no Yakusoku IN TOKYO DOME 2013.11.16 [Limited Edition] / Kis-My-Ft2</a>
</div>
<br />
<br />
So I guess when it comes to live DVDs for <b>Kisumai </b>fans just need to wait for them to do a dome concert. The group is definitely at a stage that they should be able to do at least one dome concert a year as they are still steadily pushed.<br />
<br />
<br />
I am disappointed we are not getting another <i>Kis-My-Zero</i> CD like we did with their last concert DVD. There are still a few songs from their Junior days that have yet to make it onto a CD and some of them are songs that I love and would love to have a CD version of. But it is nice that they have that bonus DVD for the tour earlier in the year instead of having no release what so ever for it.<br />
<br />
Not sure if I will get this. I want to, but I need to catch up with CD releases the next time I have enough money to afford an order. I think it will have to go on my, buy when I can afford it, list as many DVD/BD releases seem to end up on.Thennary Nakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08091740635880337469noreply@blogger.com0
