Fresh Junior Concert 15 December Set List

Well in the end there was nothing announced at this concert after all. I guess I have just gotten to used to concerts being used as a way to get media attention that I cannot help but see each one as potentially having a nugget of news with it.

That aside the concerts sounded like fun and really could have been Bakaleya6 & noon boyz featuring Johnny's Junior by looking at the concert reports popping up about them.

* In the reports the name is simple listed as カウアン but googling for that name with Johnny's only brings up one name, Okamoto Kauan, who is a 16 year old who was a model for the Sophia Model International company, you can see his profile here. There is also mention that he is a Nagoya Junior, which I am coming to think is just a place that Johnny's sometimes does auditions for and Kauan and Hirano both came from them. I can only hope that Kauan starts being shown on Shounen Club so it can be 100% confirmed Okamoto Kauan is him. Of course it should not be too hard to do so as I found videos of him on youtube (that are dated as rather recent, you can just search for his name to find them) of him singing and dancing so being able to match his face should not be that hard.

Q&A Month! (2012): Question 9

Alight, it is December so time for me to finish answering all the questions that were left for me. I want to thank everyone that left a question and I should be able to finish them all this month.

This question comes from riyelalivia:

after reading kokochan comment,i think i also wanna ask about bakaleya6 ^^ from internet there is rumour about bakaleya6 just for drama and not to long periode. thats why jimusho doesnt give them official name. what do you think about it? some fans say that because in december photoshoot magz there is no group photo anymore... i really dissapointed if this is true because i like 6 of them so much ^^ is it enough fact to judge bakaleya will disband because some photo magazine they are not together anymore? and if i think again, why doesnt jimusho give them official name if agency think about debut them like kattun or kisumai?

It really is hard to say what the future will hold for Bakaleya6 and probably at this point only Johnny's knows what the fate of the group will be. They probably were not created for the long term at first but since they seen to be given more and more activities as a group and seem to be accepted as a group by fans I would not be surprised if they are pondering if they should group them officially or not.

Interestingly enough looking at the information for the January magazines only one does not have the six all listed together in order, Wink Up has Hagiya Keigo mixed in with them like for the December magazines. But I think as long as there is something Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou related they will still be grouped together, as they still have at least one loose end of the movie being released on DVD/BD that they can promote together. It will be the true test if they will continue to go on as a group or not after that is done.

We probably are not going to get anymore hints though what is going to happen to the group in the near future unless we get an announcement at the upcoming Yokohama Arena concert on the 16th of the month. So we Bakaleya6 fans are just going to have to suffer unknowing the fate of the group for a bit longer at least.

Q&A Month! (2012): Question 8

Decided to take a bit of a break yesterday as I had RL stuff to take care of. I cannot believe this year is almost at the end. Where did it go?

Talking about time passing quickly, only a couple more days before the end of the month and the period for accepting questions end for this Q&A Month. If you want to get a question in for me to answer make sure you do so in this post.

This question is the second one from kawaii:

who are your favourite juniors??

While there are plenty of Juniors that I like I think the place of favorite has to go to the ones that I continuously look forward to seeing. And with the current state of the Juniors those Juniors are conveniently all in one group, the Bakaleya6. Of course before they were grouped together I liked them all and most would have fallen into my favorite Junior list.

Being a long time Hey! Say! JUMP fan it was hard not to know about Morimoto Shintaro because of his older brother having been in the group until about a year ago. Though I think it was his starring in the Snow Prince movie and his CD release with Snow Prince Gasshodan that made me really start paying attention to him outside of his frequent association with his brother.

Since Kyomoto Taiga was a part of the same grouping as the younger members of HSJ during their Juniors days I knew of him for some time before he really caught my interest. For him though it was his duets with Uekusa Yuta. I know there are those that do like his voice but I enjoy it but I can understand how others may not because it does not have the kind of tone that is typically considered pleasant.

Matsumura Hokuto was one of the few Juniors I found myself being an immediate fan of. And I have loved to seeing him finally find his niche with his acting after being overshadowed by Nakajima Kento and Kikuchi Fuma when he was in B.I.Shadow.

I have the tendency to like underdogs so Kochi Yugo fits that well. I think he is one of the members that still have a good deal of potential to be discovered and I eagerly await for when he figures out what he can bring to the group.

I have liked both Tanaka Juri and Lewis Jesse since I learned a bit about them when Hip Hop Jump was first formed. They were both rather adorable back then and it is amazing to see how much they have grown since. Juri seems to have that soft side of him that his older brother has but does not seem to try to hide it as much. And Jesse has a nice voice that is easy to listen to works well to help balance Taiga's.

And then the members of B.A.D. are probably just high enough to be on the list now as I am really impressed with how they have been dealing with their role as the leaders of the Kansai Juniors. Kiriyama Akito especially. Of course I have had always had a soft spot for them from their roles in Gokusen 3 and it has never completely gone away.

After all that said I also do find that Sanada Yuma kinda hovers close to being on the list as well. And the fresher Juniors are starting to get my attention to but none are quite up there enough to be on my favorite list just yet.

(And to note I am not counting Nakayama Yuma as a Junior because he has debuted so many times I think it is safe to say that one of those has stuck.)

Q&A Month! (2012): Question 7

I have to say I am quite glad I decided to do this again this year, as otherwise I would be lapsing back to being lazy and not posting as much as I feel I should be for this blog. So thank you everyone that has left a question, you have helped keep this blog active this month, and as well as the next.

Only a few more days left until the question period ends. If you want to ask a question please leave it in this post.

This question comes from Kokochan:

What do you think about the ability to be debuted of Bakaleya6?

I think Bakaleya6 could debut. Of course they would need a new group name and I do not think it would be wise to debut them anytime soon, but there is a possibility for it.

There is no doubt that I am a big fan of this group since it is basically most of my favorite Juniors all in one group. Yet even putting that aside the group has a lot of potential to become the next big thing considering who the members are and what they have done so far as Juniors and what Johnny's seems to be lining up for them. But there are also things that need to be worked on for them to debut as a group, like come together more so they have a better group dynamic for example.

So in my opinion they should debut as a group, but a couple of years from now at least, so they could become stronger as a group.

Of course as any Junior fan knows it is difficult if not sometimes impossible to predict what is going to happen. But unless Johnny's actually breaks the group up I will remain hopeful.

Q&A Month! (2012): Question 2

I plan on playing catch up with this blog today, maybe tomorrow as well depending on how well I do today. So expect at least one more post today at least. Until then I will go ahead and answer a question.

If you have a question you want me to try and answer you can leave it in the comments on this post.

This question set is from bakadaboys:

for next FIVB group, is it possible for bakaleya6? which jr do you think will get chance??

Honestly if the Bakaleya6 are to remain a group I do not think they would be the next FIVB debut unit. The FIVB units are never pre-existing groups, the closest being the original Hey! Say! 7 all debuting as a part of Hey! Say! JUMP but even then the members had more or less gone back to their previous Junior groupings before the HSJ announcement.

B6 run a much greater chance of debuting as a unit like KAT-TUN and Kis-My-Ft2 which means they will have years as a Junior unit and have that time to build their fanbase so they can have a similar strong debut like those groups.

Seeing as I do not think either Nakajima Kento or Kikuchi Fuma, the two members of Sexy Zone in the agency the longest, were even in Johnny's or had only just joined a year out from Hey! Say! JUMP's debut I would say that it is much too soon to start guessing which Juniors could debut in 2015. When it comes to the FIVB groups I think it is better to wait until about a year or even half a year before the debut to start speculating on who would make it in. And even then by the nature of these groups it would be difficult to correctly guess who would make it.

Though I will give myself some credit in the fact that I did guess that Nakaken would be debuting in the 2011 group and that if Fuma were to debut it would be with him when I did attempt some debut predictions about seven months from the debut announcement.. Though I was so completely off about everything else. But honestly the younger three really were unknown at the time and I feel that perhaps if Morimoto Ryutaro did not have his scandal there would have been a chance for Shintaro to have debuted in SZ, as he was definitely the right age and he would have helped bring in early fans. But I guess that is neither here nor there now.

Bakaleya6 profiles: Morimoto Shintaro

And finally we get the youngest member of the group, yet also the one of the ones that has been in Johnny's the longest.

Morimoto Shintaro (森本慎太郎)
Birthdate: 1997.07.15
Birthplace: Kanagawa
Blood type: A
Admired sempai: Takizawa Hideaki
Previous groups: Snow Prince Gasshoudan
Dramas: Juken no Kamisama (2007), Battery (2008), Koishite Akuma ~Vampire Boy~ (2009), Hataraku Gon! (2009), Hidarame Tantei EYE (2010), Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou (2012), GTO (2012) GTO SP (2012, 2013), Kasuka no Kanojo (2013)
Movies: Snow Prince (2009), Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou (2012)

From the December 3rd, 2006 Shounen Club episode
Shintaro is the younger brother of ex-Hey! Say! JUMP member Morimoto Ryutaro. He was what one would consider to be a Golden Junior.

The Golden Junior title is usually given to favorites of Johnny’s and there is usually always a Junior that gets a lot of pushing when they are young. Other Golden Juniors like Shintaro would be Yabu Kota and Nakajima Yuto.

Shintaro’s push did not really start in earnest until after the debut of Hey! Say! JUMP. Before then he was lumped into the group of young Juniors his brother was also in with Nakajima Yuto, Yamada Ryosuke, Chinen Yuri and Kyomoto Taiga.

Because of the pushing and the fact that Shintaro seemed to do well with the work he was given he was able to be in several dramas and even starred in a movie, Snow Prince, in 2009.

In promotion for Snow Prince he was given his own Junior group of Juniors his age and younger called Snow Prince Gasshoudan.

Shintaro was also featured in several of HSJ’s concerts in connection to his brother.

In 2011 when the underage smoking scandal about his brother Ryutaro hit Shintaro was not seen much. After a few months of laying low Shintaro began being seen more and in early 2012 he went back to the usual amount of pushing he had before his brother’s scandal. He was mainly placed with the Junior group Hip Hop Jump but was never a member during this time.

A big help in bringing Shintaro back into the spotlight was theate night NTV drama series Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou. In February 2012 it was announced he would be a part of the cast as the male lead of the drama , Sakuragi Tatsuya. The drama was a hit and will have a movie released in October 2012, which he will keep his lead role in. The movie will be released on DVD/BD in April 2013.

Shintaro was also in the 2012 GTO drama remake playing the role of Murai Kunio. He also appeared in the two specials for the drama that aired in October 2012 and January 2013.

The six Bakaleya Johnny’s Juniors (Bakaleya6) headlined their own SUMMARY concerts at Tokyo Dome City Hall on September 8th and 9th for a total of three concerts.

On December 15th, 2012 Bakaleya6 with noonboyz and other Johnny's Juniors held concerts at Yokohama Arena.

It was announced that Shintaro will have a role in the Spring 2013 Fuji TV drama, Kasuka no Kanojo, which stars SMAP's Katori Shingo that began airing April 9th.

He participated in the Live House Johnny's Ginza concerts that took place at Theater Crea from April 28 to June 2, 2013.

He can be seen performing on Shounen Club together with other Juniors monthly.

02 September 2012

Bakaleya6 profiles: Jesse

Anther day another profile. I have the feeling between the general lack of information about him and his recent pushes Jesse's is going to be one of the more popular ones.

Jesse (ジェシー)
Birthdate: 1996.06.11
Birthplace: Tokyo
Blood type: unknown
Admired sempai: Tegoshi Yuya
Previous groups: J-International, Hip Hop Jump
Dramas: Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou (2012), Sprout (2012), The Quiz (2012), Biblia Kosodou no Jiken Techou (2013), Pin to Kona (2013), Kamen Teacher (2013)
Movies: Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou (2012)

From the October 1st, 2006 Shounen Club episode
Jesse has an American father and a Japanese mother. And while he has been with Johnny’s for years he has not gotten much exposure until recently.

In his early years as a Junior he was a member of J-International with other non-full Japanese Juniors. The grouping did not last long, mainly just the first half of 2007.

After that his appearances were rather spotty at best. But things got better for him with the creation of Hip Hop Jump in 2009.

He was a part of the initial line-up of Junior group Hip Hop Jump with fellow Bakaleya6 member Tanaka Juri. Unlike Juri though, he was not always a part of the group as it went through several member changes but it did give him the chance to perform on Shounen Club occasionally. He was a part of the final line-up before the group was dissolved though.

Around the time of HHJ dissolution he began being paired with Kyomoto Taiga to sing duets on SC.

In February 2012 it was announced he would be a part of the cast of the late night NTV drama series Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou. The drama was a hit and will had a movie released in October 2012 and will be released on DVD/BD in April, 2012.

He also has one of the Juniors in a Baskin Robbins commercial for a 2012 summer campaign for the ice cream chain. As well as having one of the main roles in the late night NTV drama Sprout.

He got his first chance at being a drama lead with a drama special titled The Quiz that aired in September 2012 and was released on DVD/BD in December 2012.

He got his first chance to be in a Getsu9 drama with a supporting role in the 2013 winter drama, Biblia Kosodou no Jiken Techou. At the announcement for the role he announced that he would be just going by his first name Jesse from now on dropping his surname, Lewis.

He participated in the Live House Johnny's Ginza concerts that took place at Theater Crea from April 28 to June 2, 2013.

In the 2013 summer season he will have roles in two dramas, TBS' Pin to Kona and the late night NTV drama series Kamen Teacher. Both begin in July 2013.

He can be seen performing on Shounen Club together with other Juniors monthly.

Bakaleya6 profiles: Matsumura Hokuto

There is a thunder storm going through were I am so I figured I should make sure I get this next profile up just in case. Hope the weather is better where you are.

Matsumura Hokuto (松村北斗)
Birthdate: 1995.06.18
Birthplace: Shizuoka
Blood type: B
Admired sempai: Yamashita Tomohisa
Previous groups: B.I.Shadow, NYC boys
Dramas: Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou (2012), Kuro no Onna Kyoushi (2012), Piece (2012), TAKE FIVE (2013), Pin to Kona (2013)
Movies: Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou (2012)

From the March 1st, 2009 Shounen Club episode
Hokuto joined Johnny’s in 2009 and was quickly placed in the Junior group B.I.Shadow, making it into a quartet instead to the trio it originally was.

Not long after he joined BIS one of the original members left and Kochi Yugo was added to the group. This was then shortly followed by the announcement of Nakayama Yuma w/B.I.Shadow, a temporary unit that would release a single, followed by NYC boys, which was the former group with Hey! Say! JUMP’s Yamada Ryosuke and Chinen Yuri added to it.

While the NYC portion of NYC boys continued on as a unit, the boys (BIS) were dropped from the line-up but continued on as a Junior unit.

In 2011 BIS was disbanded as the main two members, Nakajima Kento and Kikuchi Fuma, debuted as a part of the Johnny’s group Sexy Zone. This left the remaining two members without a Junior unit.

In February 2012 it was announced he would be a part of the cast of the late night NTV drama series Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou. The drama was a hit and will had a movie released in October 2012 and will be released on DVD/BD in April, 2012.

Hokuto also had a role in the TBS drama series Kuro no Onna Kyoushi where he played one of the main roles as the mysterious student Toda Toshio.

The six Bakaleya Johnny’s Juniors (Bakaleya6) headlined their own SUMMARY concerts at Tokyo Dome City Hall on September 8th and 9th for a total of three concerts.

Hokuto was a part of the cast of the NTV midnight drama series, Piece, which starred Nakayama Yuma.

He changed schools in late 2012 to be placed in Horikoshi High School, a private high school favored by those in the entertainment industry for its flexibility for schedules. Because of the change in schools he was placed in the first year class with fellow Johnny'sSato Shori of Sexy Zone, which was a year behind where he was in his previous school.

On December 15th, 2012 Bakaleya6 with noonboyz and other Johnny's Juniors held concerts at Yokohama Arena.

He participated in the Live House Johnny's Ginza concerts that took place at Theater Crea from April 28 to June 2, 2013.

He had a guest role in the TBS Spring drama TAKE FIVE. And for the summer season he has a supporting role in the TBS drama series Pin to Kona that begins airing in July.

He can be seen performing on Shounen Club together with other Juniors monthly.

31 August 2012

Bakaleya6 profiles: Tanaka Juri

I guess now that I have started I will go ahead and do a profile a day, even though the original plan was to do them every other day. But I am sure there are not too many that will complain about this change in plans.

Tanaka Juri (田中樹)
Birthdate: 1995.06.15
Birthplace: Chiba
Blood type: B
Admired sempai: Yamashita Tomohisa
Previous groups: Hip Hop Jump
Dramas: Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou (2012), Sprout (2012), Shinryochu -in the room- (2013)
Movies: Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou (2012)

From the September 7, 2008 Shounen Club episode
Juri is still best known for being the younger brother of KAT-TUN’s Tanaka Koki. A fact that Johnny’s has not tried to play down in the least as Juri’s niche has been to rap like his older brother since he joined the agency.

Not long after joining Johnny’s in 2008 Juri was placed in a Junior group Hip Hop Jump with the initial line-up also consisting of fellow Bakaleya6 member Lewis Jesse and three other Juniors. HHJ though had several different line-ups over time before being dissolved, but Juri was one of the only constant members of the group. He was also the main rapper of the group.

In February 2012 it was announced he would be a part of the cast of the late night NTV drama series Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou. The drama was a hit and will had a movie released in October 2012 and will be released on DVD/BD in April, 2012.

Over the summer he was one of the Juniors that was in a commercial for Baskin Robbins for a 2012 summer campaign. He also had a supporting role in the 2012 summer NTV late night drama series, Sprout.

He returned once more to the NTV midnight drama slot with a role in the winter season drama, Shinryochu -in the room-.

He is participating in the Live House Johnny's Ginza concerts that are taking place at Theater Crea from April 28th to June 2nd.

They can be seen performing on Shounen Club together.

30 August 2012

Bakaleya6 profiles: Kyomoto Taiga

Yesterday and today have been hectic so I still do not have my Wednesday review of Shounen Club done. It will have to wait until tomorrow as I am probably going to pass out soon. So instead here is the Bakaleya6 profile.

Kyomoto Taiga (京本大我)
Birthdate: 1994.12.03
Birthplace: Tokyo
Blood type: B
Admired sempai: Tegoshi Yuya
Previous groups: Kitty Jr.
Dramas: Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou (2012), Kamen Teacher (2013)
Movies: Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou (2012)

From the July 9th, 2006 Shounen Club episode
Taiga can boast about being chosen to join Johnny’s without having to even apply. Johnny Kitagawa saw him in a photo with his family in Hawaii, his father being a Japanese actor. Taiga’s father knew Johnny but decided to leave it up to his son on whether or not he wanted to join Johnny’s & Associates and Taiga agreed to join after watching several concerts and musicals.

He was typically grouped with the other younger Johnny’s of the time like, Nakajima Yuto, Yamada Ryosuke, Chinen Yuri and the Morimoto brothers, Ryutaro and Shintaro for photo shoots and Shounen Club performances.

During this time he was in the temporary Junior group Kitty Jr., which was a younger version of the Junior group Kitty that performed with the temporary unit GYM.

About a year after Hey! Say! JUMP debuted be began getting chances to do duets with Uekusa Yuta (now Higuchi Yuta) on Shounen Club and was frequently paired off with the other Junior. When Uekusa left Johnny’s Kyomoto still was given solos and duets to perform on Shounen Club and had a group of Juniors that typically performed with him. His last and current duet partner is Lewis Jesse.

He starred in a commercial in 2011 for the watch company SEIKO. Then in February 2012 it was announced he would be a part of the cast of the late night NTV drama series Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou. The drama was a hit and will had a movie released in October 2012 and will be released on DVD/BD in April, 2012.

Kyomoto has also been in a commercial after that with fellow Bakaleya6 members, Tanaka Juri and Lewis Jesse for Baskin Robbins ice cream for a 2012 summer campaign.

The six Bakaleya Johnny’s Juniors (Bakaleya6) headlined their own SUMMARY concerts at Tokyo Dome City Hall on September 8th and 9th for a total of three concerts.

He changed schools in late 2012 to be placed in Horikoshi High School, a private high school favored by those in the entertainment industry for its flexibility for schedules. Because of the change in schools he was placed in the second year class with fellow Bakaleya6 member, Tanaka Juri, which was a year behind where he was in his previous school.

On December 15th, 2012 Bakaleya6 with noonboyz and other Johnny's Juniors held concerts at Yokohama Arena.

He participated in the Live House Johnny's Ginza concerts that took place at Theater Crea from April 28th to June 2nd. He was also in the 2013 Takizawa Enbujo with his father which ran from April 7th to May 12th.

He will have a supporting role in the late night NTV drama series Kamen Teacher, which begins July 2013.

He can be seen performing on Shounen Club together with other Juniors monthly.

29 August 2012

Bakaleya6 profiles: Kouchi Yuugo

Meant to get this up earlier in the day but a situation arose that prevented that. But as promised the first of this series is going up today, and since I decided to do this by age the first of the Bakaleya6 up is Kochi Yugo.

Kochi Yugo (高地優吾)
Birthdate: 1994.03.08
Birthplace: Kanagawa
Blood type: A
Admired sempai: Kamenashi Kazuya and Aiba Misaki
Previous groups: B.I.Shadow, NYC boys
Dramas: Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou (2012)
Movies: Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou (2012)

From the June 16, 2009 Shounen Club episode

Yugo is the eldest of the Bakaleya6 members and the only one attending university so far.

He joined the agency back in 2009 through a contest that ran on the Hey! Say! JUMP variety program School Kakumei. He won the contest and not only got to join the cast of the show but also the Johnny’s agency.

Only a month after joining he was placed in the Junior group B.I.Shadow just in time for the release of the Nakayama Yuma w/B.I.Shadow and NYC boys CD release. After the release NYC went on without the boys (B.I.Shadow) but the group remained as an active Junior group.

In September 2011 the new FIVB (Fifa International Volleyball) unit was announced with two of B.I.Shadow’s members, Nakajima Kento and Kikuchi Fuma, being a part of that unit meaning that B.I.Shadow was dissolved.

During that time Yugo was mostly absent from work because of a fractured collar bone, causing fans to worry about him. But before the end of 2011 he was back onstage performing on Shounen Club.

In February 2012 it was announced he would be a part of the cast of the late night NTV drama series Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou. The drama was a hit and will had a movie released in October 2012 and will be released on DVD/BD in April, 2012.

The six Bakaleya Johnny’s Juniors (Bakaleya6) headlined their own SUMMARY concerts at Tokyo Dome City Hall on September 8th and 9th for a total of three concerts. Yuugo was absent for the concert on the 8th because of filming for School Kakumei.

On December 15th, 2012 Bakaleya6 with noonboyz and other Johnny's Juniors held concerts at Yokohama Arena.

He participated in the Live House Johnny's Ginza concerts that took place at Theater Crea from April 28 to June 2, 2013.

He can be seen performing on Shounen Club together with other Juniors monthly.
