Kanjani8 new single

Kanjani8 will be doing the theme song for Nishikido Ryo's upcoming drama, Zenkai Girl. The single will come out August 17th and is titled Tsubasa ni Koi.

It comes in two editions, the usual LE with DVD that will have the PV and making of on it and the RE will come with bonus B-side tracks not on the LE.

Tsubusa ni Koi [Regular Edition] / KANJANI8

Tsubusa ni Koi [w/ DVD, Limited Edition] / KANJANI8

With this single I'm more certain than before that Johnny's is aiming to have them release an album before the end of the year. I would expect it to come out late autumn, early winter to be just in time for their usual winter concert tour which should mean they'll be doing the usual Kyocera Dome countdown concert this year as well.

  1. First Takki and Tsubsa and now Kanjani8.. well, it shows my predictions were wrong lol I really didn´t think they would release one more single this year.
I think NEWS fans were hoping them to do the single for the drama, but since K8 is doing so well lately, you could expect something like that.
It makes me happy that Johnnys notice K8 finally more than for example last year or so.

K8 has been rather lucky to have a good enough release pattern to make sure they have a new album for their yearly concerts. So honestly I expected them to get one more single out and then near the end of the year release an album.

NEWS has never done a drama theme song so I would have been shocked for them to have one now. I am still hoping they release a new single sometime this year and I will admit that I'm disappointed that it looks like it's going to be more than likely later rather than sooner.

Honestly I would have been shocked it was NEWS and not Kanjani8. K8 have a history of doing theme songs for dramas while NEWS never has.

I do hope though we do get something from NEWS this year though.
